Olivia POV
"Have a great f*%$&ing night." Nick said to me harshly as I walked out the door. I heard it slam behind me and I got in my car, wanting to leave, but I couldn't. I put my hands on the steering wheel, squeezing it until my knuckles were white. A few tears went down my face and I stared straight ahead, not moving the car. I knew that he was leaving tomorrow, so I had to make it up to him and apologize before he left.

After what seemed like forever, I quietly went into the house, shutting the door and creeping upstairs into the room I shared with Nick. I stepped into the room, my husband sleeping on his side of the bed, looking to be asleep.

"Baby?" I whispered, looking in his direction. He stirred and rolled over, not answering me. I rolled my eyes and went over to my dresser to put on a pair of cotton shorts and a cami. I crawled into bed, snuggling next to him. I felt his arm stretch around me and I instantly felt safe, and my body melted into his.

"I'm so sorry." I whispered to him in the dim light of the room. My lamp was on and the light mixed with the moonlight flooding the floor.

"I accept your apology. I'm sorry too baby." He pressed his lips behind my ear and I slipped around to face him, our lips connecting softly. Eventually, our clothes were coming off and our breathing became heavy.

When Nick woke up, he tried his best not to wake me, but it didn't work. I opened my eyes, seeing that he was zipping up his suitcase. I smiled softly and yawned. My husband looked behind him at me, and came over, putting a kiss on my lips.

"Good morning beautiful." He whispered to me.

"Morning." I smiled warmly, stretching in bed. As I looked back over, he was setting up his suitcase next to him, ready to leave. I pouted instantly, my eyes becoming sad. Nick looked over at me, smiling sweetly.

"I'll be back before you know it. And I know that you and Brook will have lots of fun." He kissed me softly, caressing my cheek with his thumb.

"You know that she doesn't think very highly of me sweetheart." I stuck out my bottom lip a bit more, looking him in the eyes. I fell more in love with him every second.

"She's still adjusting. This is really hard for her, and I'm sure it'll take her a long time to get used to it," he looked to the floor and then back at me," hopefully it won't be too long." He finished with a sigh, smiling at me slightly.

"Yeah. I love you honey." I smiled at him warmly, pushing myself up against the headboard a bit more.

"I love you too baby. I'll see you in a few days, okay? Trust me, Brook will be just fine." He planted a small kiss on my forehead and smiled. I offered him a smile as well before he left the room, ready to head to the airport for London. I sat on the bed and sighed. I was about to be away from him for four days. I knew what I was getting into, marrying him, but I still wasn't prepared. I was Miss Universe up until a few years ago, so I kind of understood the busy schedule. I ran a hand through my hair and got up to go brush my teeth. After that, I went downstairs, considering I wasn't going to be able to get any sleep.

At around nine, Brook woke up. I was sitting in the recliner, watching ET and I heard her in the kitchen. I decided to get up and go see what she was up to.

"Sweetheart, you're awake. How'd you sleep?" I smiled warmly, hoping my gesture wasn't too much. This was the first time I had been married, let alone been a mother of any kind. One corner of her mouth turned up as she kept her gaze on the contents of the fridge.

"Pretty good." She replied with a small shrug, closing the refrigerator and just grabbing an apple out of the bowl on the counter. I bit my bottom lip with my nerves bunched up, not exactly knowing how to carry out this conversation. I was the adult, so I had to do something here. I pressed my lips together before saying something.

"That's good. So I thought that you and I could go shopping today. Your Dad actually was the one who suggested it."

"Yeah, I'll just go upstairs and change." She gave me an assuring smile and proceeded to jog upstairs. I went up to my room a couple minutes after her, changing into a navy blue romper and putting my hair straight down, taking it out of the bun it was in earlier. I applied some makeup, taking a picture and sending it to Nick on snapchat. I captioned it with:

Going shopping with Brook. Wish me luck baby!

I smiled at it and sent it to him before grabbing one of my many purses out of my walk-in closet, and slipping my phone in it and quickly changing out the wallet. I walked downstairs, seeing my step-daughter sitting at the counter. I took a breath before getting ready to go with her into town.

"Ready?"
