It felt like hours were flying by as I sat in the kitchen of Hunters house alone but every time I looked at the clock I saw only an amount of minutes had gone by.
I groaned.
Hunter at least allowed me to be untied but I didn't see the point. I still stayed in the chair.
I could hear talking coming from the next room over but the voices were to low to figure out what the conversation was about.
"Hunter!" I yelled. I waited a minute or two then yelled his name again.
"What?" He asked, walking into the kitchen.
"When can I go home?" I replied.
"You've asked that a million times and like all the other times I answered: you have to wait until I say," he answered.
"I have to go home. Schools over and my mom will start to worry," I lied. My mom most likely wouldn't even notice I was gone. She would be to busy dealing with Stephen. "And I have homework," I added.
"One: your a terrible liar. Two: you left your things at school so you can't do your homework," spoke the man with a deep voice. I found out his name was Allen. He was black and his height reached Hunters shoulders height.
"Right so the school will probably start to worry too," I remembered.
"Doubt it. Kids have walked away and no one ever noticed," Clorissa spoke. I looked to the corner of my eyes to see her playing with the ends of her blonde, mid-back length hair.
"The people your referring to are the delinquents right? And I didn't walk away exactly you guys took me and kids noticed I was gone," I stated.
"Yeah they did but remember your a freak to them so like they would care about your ass," Clorissa spat back.
That girl was really getting on my nerves.
I stood up and walked over to her. "Listen I get I'm not liked but that doesn't mean they won't think something's wrong."
"Please. Only if you heard half the things I have," she smirked and walked away.
I could feel my face become hot with anger. I got angry easy but the way she got on my nerves so fast was new to me. We never talked before today and already she knew just what to say to push me over the edge.
Hunter walked over to my side and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Calm down she's just being Clorissa," he spoke.
"Well then maybe she should be a Ted or Bob," I suggested. I saw the quick smile that showed up on his lips then disappeared. I almost allowed a smile to appear but then- of course- Clorissa appeared again.
"Hunter, Kyle wants you," She told Hunter.
"Who's Kyle?" I questioned. Hunter glimpsed at me then back at everyone else. He said nothing then left the room.
"Great he left me here with Clorissa" I thought to myself.
"Ok I'm not that bad I just don't get why we're helping hunter with you," she seemed to complain about what I was thinking just then.
"How- how did you know what I was thinking," I spoke in shock.
She glanced at me then thought for a second. "Because your face can show how much you don't like me," she conjured up. I didn't believe her but I just allowed it to slip away from my train of thought.
"Ok then," I answered with suspicion. She dropped her head and turned around looking at the others that were here with us.
