After I finished packing I decided to jump in the shower. I stripped off my workout clothes and stared at myself in the mirror. I was small..standing at 5 ft 2 with a muscular build. My arms, back, stomach, and legs were toned and my muscles moved as I moved. But I wasn't gross muscular, just the right amount. To have red hair, both my sister and I have tan, Olive, complexions. One of my eyes were blue and the other bright green. My sisters eyes were brown and blue. We have the same upturned nose and full lips that never quite closed all the way. We were identical except for our eyes and the ugly reminder of my mistake last summer stretched out across my chest. My scar started in the middle of my chest and a long jagged line went over to my right shoulder and looked like the knife exploded in my skin. But really it was from the surgery to repair the damage done. The scar went from my chest to in between my breasts, but again that was just surgery. And on the left, where my neck curves into my shoulder more scars waited there where the vamp bit me and ripped a hunk of my flesh out. From all the blood...I should've died. But the goddess saved me.
I turned away from the mirror and hung my head low as I got in the shower. After taking a shower I put on black leggings that came right below my knee and a emerald green, long sleeved shirt. I slid on my sneakers, braided my hair, grabbed my suitcase and knife case, and trotted down the stairs praying for left over breakfast food.
When I made it to the bottom of the stairs I set my suitcase down and saw my mother grabbing a Diet Dr. Pepper out of the fridge. She turned around and jumped "Jesus H Christ, Alaisia, you scared me to death!" My momma's country twang was like music to my ears.
"I'm sorry Momma." I smiled and noticed the biscuits and bacon still on the stove. I grabbed them and popped them in the microwave. When they were done I started stuffing my face with all of it.
My momma glanced at my suitcase and gave me a pointed stare, "I seen you've talked to your father and you've decided to leave us." It wasn't a question, she knew I had to go.
"I've got to go, Momma. You don't say 'no' to the King."
"Bullshit." She came around the table and grabbed my arm and drug me to the bathroom downstairs. "Do you see that? You are a woman, a young lady, not a warrior. You will be a Luna not an Alpha. It won't ever happen." My mother had never accepted the plans I made all those years ago. Then she pulled my shirt up and over my head. "Do you see what happened last time? Or have you forgotten that we almost lost you? Ana almost died right along with you. Don't be so selfish, Alaisia. You can't do this. You aren't strong enough." I heard her voice crack, "neither your father nor I is strong enough to lose you either. But forget about us, think about Ana. She needs you." She took my face between her hands and tears sparkled in her eyes.
"Stop it, momma. I am strong enough. Last time I was reckless, I had too much pride. I know now. If I do good by the King I can be an Alpha, like Daddy." I grabbed my shirt and pulled it back over my scars, not wanting to see them anymore. I gathered her in my arms. "I have something to prove. I love you Momma." I whispered.
"Stubborn girl. Just like your father." She pushed me away and stormed back in the kitchen. Ana and Daddy sat at the bar when we came out. "Ana put down those biscuits, those are your sister's. You already had breakfast." Momma demanded and Ana immediately dropped them. "Sorry Momma.." She whispered and I stuck my tongue out at her and she kicked me in the shin under the table.
"So, Alaisa, yer flight is in an hour so we better get going. Ye are riding with yer sister and we are carrying the rest of the girls. So load up yer things." My father spoke, breaking a very awkward silence. "Yes sir." I spoke and left the table, I picked up my things and carried them to the car.
As father said we were gone in five minutes. Ana drove her Lexus to the airport while I rode in the passenger side. We rode in silence. Finally when we pulled up at the airport I broke the silence. "Come on, Ana, talk to me. I don't know how long I'm going to be gone this time.." I turned to her.
"I can't believe you are leaving.." She pulled her sunglasses up and set them on top of her head and I noticed she had been crying. Her cute little nose and big eyes were red and her lips were even puffy. She had been crying hard, how had I not noticed?
"I'll be back, and we will talk every day. We can even Skype while we get ready and talk on the phone while we make smoothies. I won't be there in person but it will still be like old times." I pulled her close and hugged her.
"But what if you don't come back?"
"I will come back. They haven't killed me yet, and they aren't going to start now." A tear slipped down my cheek. I hadn't realized how much I was going to miss her.
"Promise?"
"Twin promise." I wrapped my pinky around hers and we kissed our thumbs. At that time dad came and opened Ana's door. Princesses don't touch door handles. I opened mine and walked around to hug her again. "I love you, twin." And I kissed her cheek.
"I love you too, big sister."
I gasped, I was born 37 seconds before Ana and she never called me big sister, sure I spent all my time calling her little sister, but she never gave in. Then she kissed my cheek, wiped her eyes, but right before she got back into the car she said, "if you die. I'm gonna kill you."
I chuckled and as the girls got out of the suv my mother never got out of the passenger side. "She's really mad isn't she?" I asked looking from the car to the ground.
"Och, lass, she is scared. Stubborn woman yer mother is, just like ye. Go tell her goodbye." He lifted my chin up by his finger and smiled at me.
"How funny, she says I got it from you." And I walked away from him to my mothers side of the car. I tapped on the window and she quickly wiped her eyes before rolling it down. "What is it, Alaisia?"
"I just wanted to tell you goodbye. I love you."
"I love you too. See you soon." And she rolled the window back up. I wanted to scream, go punch the window out so she couldn't hide behind it anymore, but I just turned away.
"Goodbye Daddy." I wrapped my arms around his stomach.
"Goodbye, wee love. Come back to us safe." He kissed the top of my head and I left to join the girls.
"In ranks." I commanded and they lined up behind me. My second, Isabelle; then Samantha, Britney, and Tasha. "Let's rock this bitch." And the girls whipped their heads back and growled up into the sky as I howled in the front.Okay you guys! Please tell me what you think in the comments. This is my first story so don't be too mean but be honest! ❤️❤️
