Mandy wanted to avoid Gerald because she was hurt with his behavior yesterday.
"You still don't like to eat?" Gerald asked. He knew something is wrong with Mandy. She hasn't eating anything since last night.
"I'm fine" She was in the living room watching the Americas Next Top Model Girls Vs. Guys.
"Fine. Suit yourself" Again she was irritated by his response.
This fellow doesn't even know how to care. Why am I playing hard to get? Mandy thought.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Out of boredom she braided her hair into pigtail. She could smell the Hickory-Smoked country ham and the fresh seasonal fruits. Yum! Her grandpa must've bought them groceries. Oh how she wanted to eat. She kept on eating the handmade biscuit she bought before the appointment with Chloe Murray, the wedding planner.
"Dinner's ready" Gerald peeked at her in the living room.
She was in a huge dilemma. To play hard to get and choose the handmade biscuit or to give up ignoring Gerald and choose the country ham?
"No, thanks" She lied. Again. Oh, how she wanted that ham.
This time Gerald didn't respond. She could hear her stomach growling.
Seconds later, Gerald went out of the kitchen while bringing a plate of smoking ham.
He must've had it for himself. Mandy rolled her eyes. Gerald put the plate of ham in the table in front of her. "Please, eat"
Mandy looked at him for a second then to the ham.
"Why would I?" She replied annoyingly. He released a big sigh.
"Your family will kill me if you'll get skinnier before the marriage"
"You even care for that? Pfft. I didn't know" Mandy rolled her eyes at him.
"Look, I don't know what made you angry 'kay? But please don't starve yourself. For your sake" He begged. For once in her life, this is the only time Gerald Ryans the heartless man in United States of America begged for her to eat. What a goal!
Seconds later, she asked for another round of country ham. Of course, she can't resist. The tenderness of the smoking ham, plus Gerald Ryans begging her to eat equals perfect combination.
"You are one spoiled brat aren't you?" He gazed at her coldly.
"Why you bringing that up, now?" She mumbled under the meat in her mouth.
He slightly shook his head. "Nevermind"
Then and there where she had her first perfect dinner for the last two days.

Kring-kring
"Hello? Mandy Foxx speaking"
"Mandy, honey. This is grandpa. How you two doing there?"
"Never been better." She rolled her eyes.
"Good. That's great. Your father sent his regards to you"
"Yeah, sure."
"I'll call you sometime 'kay?"
"Okay. I'll be waiting"
She put the phone down and Gerald went into the living room. "Who was that?"
"Grandpa. He's asking about how we are doing"
Gerald shrugged and lied down on the couch. This is getting boring, actually Mandy thought. Gerald seemed to have no fun unlike when they were kids they would play like there's no tomorrow. Mandy sighed.
Ding-dong
Who's that at this time? Mandy looked at Gerald. They both have no idea.
Mandy went to open the door. O.O
She couldn't believe what she saw in front of her eyes.
