Mandy and Gerald didn't get any sleep tonight. Mandy was crying silently in the bed. She can't let Gerald knew about her whining. She kept on holding her tears back. Will she ever let go? Maybe not.

Gerald was thinking so many things. It's hurting his head.. and also his heart. He doesn't even know what will happen. Will he ever let go? Maybe not.

Morning came. Nathan hurt his ears of the silent treatment. "Okay? Speak up. What's your problem?" He asked and looked both Mandy and Gerald from time to time. "Gerald?" Nothing. "Mandy?" Nothing. "What's wrong?" Do I deserve to hear it out?" Still nothing. Gerald was sitting on the couch, reading a book. Mandy was watching her favorite cartoon. Nathan knows, both of their minds were not in the house. It's floating somewhere far away.

"I need to go somewhere" Mandy blurted and went through the door. "Mandy!" Nathan called out.
Nathan couldn't handle this. He grabbed Gerald's collar and his book fell. "I told you not to fucking hurt her!"
Gerald blinked. "I can't do anything! Okay? I fucking can't do anything for her!" He shouted, fighting his tears.
"What happened, you bastard!?"
Gerald face fell. "I have to marry someone else"
Nathan blinked. He let go of Gerald.
Then there, Gerald told him everything.

"Grandpa" Mandy went to the office.
"Sweetie?"
"Are you okay?" Mandy hugged him.
"I'm fine. Are you?"
"I have to be." She barely whispered. "I'll gave you my way. We will not continue the engagement. But please, grandpa. You can't do this! Gerald has been fighting all his life to serve you. He might have been agreed to the whole marriage thingy you requested, and you know he was forced. But, now. This is too much. For the whole partnership, you have to give him up again. Grandpa, he has the right to choose. And he's tired. Please, do something for him"

No response from his Grandpa. "I'm sorry, grandpa. I must've said too much" Before her grandpa could speak, she left.

"Oh, that's hard man" Nathan moaned. "I'm heart broken, too"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, maybe because that's the reason why my ex-fiancee broke up with me.."
"Ex-fiancee?" Gerald blinked.
"I know, I get that a lot" Nathan faked-smile.
"Do you love her?"
Nathan looked at Gerald. "Like a lot"
Gerald smiled. "How about you? Do you love Mandy?" Nathan asked.
"Yeah, I do."
"Why don't you fight for her?"
Gerald looked down. "The only way I could do, is to let her go.. I don't want her involving this problem, she's been hurt too much."
"I understand you man"

"Jodi, we need to talk" Mandy came out of nowhere.
"How do you know where I live?" She tilted her head.
"Of course, you're the famous Jodi Brown"
"Come in"

"What did you do?" Mandy crossed her arms around her chest.
"I told my dad, to cancel the partnership with the Foxx if I can't have Ryans" She brushed her hair.
Mandy sighed. "Do you know, how much troubled you caused for us because of your selfishness?"
Jodi snorted. "Look, I don't care okay"
"Damn it Jodi!" Mandy shouted.
Jodi widened her eyes.
"If you really love Gerald, you have to let him go. " She stared at Jodi.
"What do you mean?" She blinked.
"Gerald has been tied up with our company all this time. He deserve some happiness and freedom. Please, just let him go" Mandy's tear flow down from her cheeks.
Jodi continued to be silent for a few minutes.

"Fine. I'll tell dad, to cancel the engagement and have the partnership. But on one condition, Oh Foxx."
Mandy wiped her tears. "Anything.."
"I want you to leave this town. It feels unfair to have you here and get Gerald again. So, its better that none of us can be with him.. And maybe then, he'll be free"
"My life's been here all along, Jodi. But, for Gerald's sake. I'll leave first thing tomorrow"
Jodi smiled. "Look, I don't want him tied up, too. So, now we're even. I'm easy to talk."
Mandy nodded. This is good. Leaving is good not just for Gerald, but for Grandpa's company.

Mandy took a cab.

Ring. Ring.

Andy Miller? "Hello?" Mandy answered.
"Hi, Mandy! How are you?"
Mandy sighed. At least, she has someone to talk to.
"I'm fine. Can I sleepover at your place tonight. I don't like going home"
"Is there something wrong?"
"No, nothing's wrong"
"Yes, there is. There's a big pain in your voice. Come on, let me hear that out"
"Okay" Mandy sniffed.

Ding dong. Ding dong.

Andy opened. "Mandy.." She hugged her directly.
Mandy cried in her arms. "It hurts. Everything hurts"
"Shh, shh. Don't worry. We'll take that away' Andy hugger her tight and patted her back.

A true friend, really knows behind every pain you're having.

Morning came.

Gerald went downstairs. "Hey, Nathan. Have you seen Mandy?"
Nathan was fixing the couch. "She texted a few minutes ago that she's with Andy Miller. My friend's sister"
"Oh, I know her"
"Okay. But you know, dude. It's weird to have two guys under the same roof."
Gerald chuckled. "You'll be in front page, if gets leaked"
They both laughed.

Mandy came in the office. "Oh, Mandy. Good news!" Her grandpa greeted her with a smile.
"The engagement with Gerald, was canceled. And the partnership was back again" he added.
Mandy smiled filled with awe. "That's great grandpa.."
"And you can get married with Gerald again next week-"
"No, grandpa, I can't"
"Why not?" Her father appeared.
Both of them shooting her a puzzled look.

"I'm leaving. I wanna go to England with mom"
"What? Why?" His father gave her a serious look.
"Because, I wanna be an actress like her." Yes, this part is true. She really want to be an actress.
"My dream is there.." She gulped.

"Well, let her be Daniel. She has the right to choose and be free" Her grandpa smiled.
Daniel Foxx sighed. "Dad, I'll be okay. Plus, I'm bringing a friend around"
"When did you have a friend?" Daniel asked confused again.
Mandy rolled her eyes. "It doesn't matter. Her name is Andy Miller"
She hugged her dad. "I'll be back soon" She then, turn to her Grandpa. "I love you both" Then hugged her grandpa.

"Did Gerald know you're leaving?" Her grandpa asked.
"He doesn't need to know, until I land England" She smiled and waved at them.

She always wanted to be an actress. But, a part of her doesn't want to leave. She'll miss the idiot Gerald so much.
