2 weeks later.
"Work is kinda tiring" Mandy groaned as she laid back.
Jillian nodded. "Agree"
"Look, guys. You find freedom in your work" Jeff waved a hand.
Jillian chuckled. "You're too serious dear Jeff"
"It's tiring" Mandy grinned.
"Foxx, someone's looking for you!" A crew member shouted.
"Who is it?" She called back.
"Not familiar"
She arched her brows. "I'll be back guys" then she stood up and went outside.
---=.=---
She widened her eyes at the sight. She can't believe her eyes.
"What are you doing here?" She asked blinking few times.
"Is that how you greet someone you've never seen a long time?" Gerald's voice still has a huge effect on her. "How are you?"
She remained stiff.
Gerald chuckled. "Too speechless, Foxx?"
Mandy blinked. "I'm doing fine, Ryans"
"You and I have a lot of explaining to do" Gerald grabbed her but Mandy protested.
"Wait, I can't leave work"
"It's okay, Mandy baby. We'll take care of this" Jillian shouted. Jeff winked at her. Those idiots, she thought.

They sat on a bench in the park.
"Why didn't you tell me anything about leaving?" Gerald shot her a serious look.
"I never wanted to leave" Mandy turned to him. "It's just that-"
"I know what happened back there with Jodi. It pretty hit me. I was angry at myself for being such a bastard" Gerald shook his head. "You sacrificed your own freedom, for me. For everybody"
"I never regreting leaving. It made me who I am today"
"But, did you ever regret not telling me you left. Because honestly, you broke me"
"I just don't want you involving my life. It's too much drama and you're too tied up with everything. I'll be just pain in the butt"
Gerald chuckled. "You're always a pain in the butt. You don't even know how to cook. You always get what you wanted. You even left everybody who cares for you there. Even, Nathan is mad at you"
Mandy sighed. "Sorry"
"Sorry doesn't changes anything. You didn't even call"
Mandy looked down. "Is Nathan doing good?"
"Yeah, he's good with Jodi and they're kinda getting married next month"
Mandy widened her eyes with joy.
"Really!? Oh gosh. That's fantastic"
"Nathan worked super hard to get her. I mean, he loves the girl. Jodi, loved the guy too. Perfect"
"I never witness their lovestory"
"Yeah, because you weren't there" Gerald looked away.
Mandy's face lightened up. "I missed you." She laughed. "What were you thinking, coming all the way here to see me?"
Gerald turned to her.
"What on earth did I think about? All the time it was all you. You were gone for so long, I was worried. I need to know that you are alive, even somewhere in this world even it's not by my side"
Mandy smiled. "So, you missed me too?"
Gerald blinked. "No, I didn't" He obviously lied.
"Okay" Mandy smiled a little bit more.

They went to buy sundaes and talked about their lives in the different world.
"How's your work doing?" Mandy asked as she took a spoonful sundae in her mouth.
"Pretty good. Well, your grandpa even made me leave for 2 weeks to see you"
Mandy grinned.
"I even see my mom"
Mandy shot him a surprise look. "Really?"
"Yeah, it was fine. I mean, she still looks the same, only a bit older. I forgive because maybe, just maybe I still want her in my life"
Mandy gave an encouraging look. "You were strong enough to do that. Congratulations!" She smiled.
"I missed you, Mandy Foxx" Gerald smiled. Really smiled.
Mandy couldn't hide her blushing face.

"Mandy Foxx, where have you been?" Hannah reprimanded, as she Mandy with Gerald laughing with each other. "Gerald, you're here" Hannah smiled.
"Hello, Mrs. Foxx" He smiled.
Hannah went to him then hugged each other. "How are you, young lad? Come in, get inside"
Hannah's condo is beside Mandy's. They went inside Hannah's.
"You're so grown up" Hannah smiled at him. "Are you dating my daughter?"
"Mom, no it's not like that" Mandy defended immediately.
"Yes, actually I'm dating her" Gerald turned to Mandy giving her a let-me-handle-this look.
"Oh, that's good. You know, when you were little kids, I always want you together. Your grandfather always did. And now, everything is not that hard, right?" She handed Gerald a pineapple juice.
"Yeah, mom. Can we go out now?"
"Oh, wait. Where will Gerald sleep tonight?"
"I'll check in a hotel" Gerald replied.
"No, honey. You're staying here. You can have my room, since I can't be here all the time because of work"
"No, it's okay Mrs. Foxx. You don't have to-"
"Oh, I insist" She replied with a warm smile.
"Okay, Thanks Mrs. Foxx"
---=.=---
"Uh, when did we start dating?" Mandy snorted.
"Since, the time I told you I like you" Gerald was lying on the bed.
"We were dating that time already?"
"Yeah, are you that dense? I mean, I kissed you a lot of times"
Mandy was speechless. Very speechless.
"Still you left me heartbroken" Gerald continued.
Mandy blinked.
"Mandy Foxx, you know. I don't care if our conversations get little boring and we ran out of things to say because having you is enough to make me happy. You know much I waited for you"
Mandy gulped. "Why would you wait for me?"
Gerald stood. "Because I don't want anyone else"
Gerald cupped her face then kissed her. He kissed her with all the loneliness he'd felt for the last three years. He pulled away himself away from her.
"You know, I don't like the idea of anyone else having you"
Mandy laughed. "Silly"
