"ARYA!"
Oh Jesus. Not again.
"Chandler, you're going to break your back if you keep trying to lift those boxes by yourself!"
I couldn't help, but smile to myself when I saw my best friend struggling. We had a week before classes started, and this move has been a pain in the ass.
"You know. If we had gotten a dorm room instead of an apartment, we wouldn't have had to pack so much shit." I loved teasing her about it because then she would always breaks off onto her rant.
"I told you! This is going to be our lives for the next four years. We'll have to start making adult decisions, where we won't have RA's to come and check on us. We need to be able to set our own rules, and spread our wings. We needed to get an apartment so we could adjust-"
"-to the real world that we have been thrown into. Yes Chandler, I know. I think that's reminder number seven if I've been counting correctly." I smirked at her.
"Haha. You can mock all you want, but you'll see. This will have been worth it all."
I walked up and placed my hands on her shoulders. "Yes Chan. You're right, and I love you. I promise to stop teasing you about it." I placed a kiss on her cheek and walked out to the moving truck.
"Now help me get the rest of these boxes, before I tell you about how much you over packed."
Her eyes went wide, and I couldn't help but burst into a fit of laughter at the look on her face.
"ARYA! You promised!"

"I think that was the last box."
I scanned around the living room giving myself a pat on the back for doing such a good job.
I told her blue would open up the space.
I stretched out my arms, and realized I was in need of a nice long shower. Before I knew it I had found my way to bed, feeling nice, and clean I quickly dozed off into a deep dreamless sleep.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Waking up in our new apartment wasn't as exciting as I had imagined. Especially since Chan had been gone before I woke up.
Chandler had to leave early for cheer practice since the football season was just around the corner. She told me she would be busy the next few weeks with practices, and school work. We had planned on going to this cafe we had heard about through our landlord. I guess I'd have to check it out for myself. I got dressed in a fitted v-neck long sleeved shirt, with white washed denim jeans. I put my brown leather sandals on to go with it. I stood up facing the floor length mirror. My 5"4 frame stood there motionless. My dirty blonde hair fell past my belly button, and blue eyes looked lifeless. No matter how much I tried to forget about the things that happened...I couldn't. My phone went off startling me from my daze.
"Hey Chan, what's up?"
I tried not to let my voice crack.
"I just wanted to see if you were still headed to Mikuni's Cafe?"
I played with the ends of my hair before answering. "Yea. I was just headed out now. Did you want something?"
She giggled through the phone.
"Nate stop it...oh no, I just wanted to let you know I just left there, and their coffee is to die for!"
Chandler was always great at making friends. From the sounds of it, she found herself a special friend.
"Thanks for letting me know. I'll let you know how I feel about it." I let out a soft chuckle.
"Ok well..." A whistle went off in the background. "Hey Ary, I gotta go. Talk later! Bye!"
"Bye Chan."
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I couldn't help but stare at the menu in awe. I'd never seen so many coffee choices in my life.
"It's kind of intimidating isn't it? All of the choices. It makes not knowing what you want a lot harder." The deep sultry voice drew me out of my daze. I looked to find the most beautiful man I'd ever seen standing before me. I must've looked like an idiot standing there with my mouth open. I swallowed the lump
In my throat before speaking.
"Y-yea. It's a bit overwhelming."
Good job Arya. You just had to stutter.
The mysterious man let out a deep chuckle. Dear. Lord. That was the sexiest thing I'd ever heard. I wonder if he could hear my heart beating out of my chest, or my labored breaths. How is it even possible for someone to be so perfect?
"Is that a no?"
Did he say something? "I'm sorry. What?" Great. Now he's going to think you're an idiot girl who can't even talk to a stranger. Good one Ary.
"I said might I suggest a drink for you?"
Oh. "Umm...sure. T-that would be helpful." Helpful? Really! You should get out while you can. You'll only make it worse.
"White mocha. You can't go wrong with a white mocha."
"Yea. I'll get that. Thank you..."
"August. My names August."
That's quite a name for quite a guy.
" I'm sorry?"
Shit. Did I say that out loud? Think fast. "ARYA!" I coughed a little. You're so stupid! "Umm..my name. It's Arya."
He smiled, and my God was it the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen."
"It's nice to meet you Arya."
His gaze was so intimidating. I felt so small, but those eyes. I could stare at those beautiful blue eyes for days. His hair. I wonder what it would be like to run my fingers through his dark curly locks. What was he? 6"2? Hmm...I bet he-"
"Hot."
Yes he is...wait. "Hmm?"
I stared at him like a deer caught in the headlights. There was a glint in his eyes that told me he knew exactly what I had been thinking about. He was smirking down at me.
"Your drink. Get it hot."
"O-oh. Umm yea. Hot. I'll get my drink hot for you. Not hot for you! I just mean because you told me to get hot! Not because you make me hot, I mean I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean it's not that you couldn't, I mean you are, but-"
"Arya?"
"I just meant you-"
"Arya?"
I stopped when he placed his hand on my shoulder.
"It's ok. I get it. You think I'm hot." I stared at him in disbelief. What just happened? While grabbing his drink he looked at me one last time with that incredible smirk. "Enjoy your drink Arya." Then he left. He was gone.
"Next."
As I ordered my drink I thought about the mysterious August who had made me feel more out of control than I ever had before in my life. I frowned at the thought before I headed home.
