I was paralyzed. Not because of fear or anything, but because I watch a lot of Jurassic Park. It gave me a look like really. I repeated my warning. "The power of the Magic Spitballer repels you."
It gave me another look like REALLLLY. I felt pretty brave, so instead of running away screaming I slowly backed off. It followed me with its gaze. Then some thing very unexpected happened it began to speak. It was a course through my rumbling. I remembered my dad telling me how to speak dragon. So I made a lot of random grunts and it grunted back. Awesome. Then something really unexpected happened. It shot up a jet of flame. For a second I wondered if I should just dash from the clearing.  It bowed its head as if to say to get. Who was I to say no. I imagined how many girls would want to ride with me in a dragon. It would put cars to shame. Instead of letting me get in it, it snapped at me when I tried. Probably not a very good sign. I remembered Jurassic World and How to train Your dragon. I started to pet it. It unhinged its jaw, so my hand fell down. Then it let out a burst of flame. I started yelling. It was like putting your hand in a clay oven, and then sticking it in a volcano. It seared and burned, it hurt it was pain incarnate. I screamed and screamed. The dragon regarded me with a look that probably meant wimp.  My hand was charred and deformed once flame came out. Then it healed, bearing a mark. The mark of a dragon. The dragon stared at me still unmoving. It unhinged its jaw, so I went out of the way, closed it as if in surprise, and plopped its head on the floor.  That's the type of respect I deserve, with my magic spitball cannon. It moved away still looking at me and nodded his head as I to say, "Come along." So I followed him. He took me to the volcano and pushed me in.
