(That afternoon...)
ANNABETH
"You are so lucky!" Megan whined and took a bite of her pizza.
"Why?" I said.
"Because Percy's your partner! I'd do anything to be in your place!" I rolled my eyes.
"You wanna trade partners? Ryan's really cool and way less arrogant than Percy." And less geeky, I though. I still couldn't believe that he thought that he was the son of Poseidon. Nerd. Megan shrugged.
"I totally would, but Ryan and I have already gotten a lot of work done. And anyway, you know I have a crush on him!" She said the last part quietly. I chuckled. Megan looked at me.
"Oh, shut up! And are you sure that you don't like Percy?" She pointed her pizza at me.
"Yes I'm sure."
"You don't even think he's cute?"
"Not really."
"But his smile is so perfect! And his eyes-"
"Megan!" She giggled. Suddenly, she gasped and her eyes grew wide.
"What?" I asked.
"Look! It's Percy, Ryan, and some other cute guy! Oh god, I can't even handle the hotness!" She said, sliding down in her seat and fanning her face. I turned around in my seat and saw Percy, Ryan and some guy with brown hair walking towards us. Megan was hyperventilating.
"Oh my god, oh my god they're walking towards us! Ok, ok Annabeth, be cool, be cool!" She said just a bit- note my sarcasm- excitedly. I sighed and put my head in my hands.
"Hey Annabeth." Someone said. I raised my head and saw Percy standing there with his two friends. Percy looked at me with a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes.
"Well then." Percy said, sounding offended. He picked up the pizza from my plate and took a bite.
"Hey!" I said.
"Hello." Percy replied. I groaned quietly.
"I'm Megan." Megan said out of no where. Percy looked at her and smiled.
"Sup." Megan looked like she was going to faint.
"Hey Percy," said the unknown guy. "Is that a drug store? You know, Travis and I have been-"
"No Connor." Percy said. The guy- Connor- raised his hands. Percy turned to Megan and I again.
"This is Connor." He said. Connor waved.
"Whatever." I mumbled, trying to give them the hint that I wanted them to leave.
"OH MY GODS, PERCY LOOK IT'S A BANK OH MY GODS I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS!" Connor yelled while running away to the bank. Percy sighed.
"I gotta go." Percy said. He ran after Connor, leaving Ryan with us. Megan stared at him.
"So, um, I'll text you later." He said to Megan before walking away. Megan had a goofy smile on her face and looked like she had just been kissed by every single hot celebrity in the world.
"Hello... Megan... Hello? Earth to Megan?" I snapped my fingers in front of her face.
"What?" She asked.
"You zoned out after Ryan said he'd text you." Megan blushed.
"Sorry." I heard a beeping noise, and Megan picked her iPhone out of her pocket. Her groaned.
