JUST FYI, THIS IS THE NEXT DAY. SORRY THAT I SKIPPED :(

PERCY

I got out of bed lazily and looked at my clock, which read 12:48. Believe it or not, this is waking up early for me on the weekends. But since I was already up, I decided to go have a shower. I walked to my bathroom and had a quick shower. When I got out, I heard my mom's voice yelling, "Percy could you come downstairs for a second?" I pulled on a pair of shorts and started to walk downstairs. I got to the living room, and I saw my mom and Annabeth standing there talking. Annabeth took one look at me and blushed like crazy. I wondered why, and then I realized that I wasn't wearing a shirt. Then I started blushing.

"Percy, your friend Annabeth is here." My mom said. You don't say, mom?

"Um... I think that I'm going to go put a shirt on." I said. Annabeth nodded.

"Good idea." She said. I ran upstairs, put on some random shirt and started to hide everything demigod-related. I know I said that I would tell her, but not now. When I thought that my room looked like a regular 15-year-old boy's room, I headed downstairs. I found Annabeth still standing there, but my mom was gone.

"Your mom went out." Annabeth said, as if she could read my mind.

"Oh. Um, how do you know where I live?" I asked.

"I was talking to one of my friends this morning. His name is Grover. He said he was a friend of yours." What? Grover was here? I'll have to find him.

"Ok... um, why are you here?" I asked, trying not to sound mean.

"I wanted to talk to you about something." She sounded worried.

"Ok..." I sat down on the couch and she sat beside me.

"Well, yesterday after school when I was walking home, I saw this thing. It was like, a vampire but weirder. It had one goat leg, and the other was like bronze metal. Like an empousa from Greek mythology. Then later this dog bear thing attacked me." I clenched my fist. An empousa and a hellhound. I tried to think of something to tell her.

"Uh, did you say a vampire?" I asked. Annabeth nodded. "Oh, that's just this girl I know... Um, she likes to dress up like an empousa. And for the dog... That was probably just a wild bear or something." Annabeth looked down.

"Oh. Ok. I thought that I was going crazy or something." She said with a laugh. I put on a fake smile.

"So since your here, do you wanna work on the project since we didn't do much yesterday?" I asked. Annabeth shrugged.

"Sure." She said. I led her up to my room and got my Greek mythology textbooks from my backpack. I started to read from the textbook, even though I didn't need to.

"Ok, Poseidon is one of The Big Three, which also include his brothers Zeus and Hades. When Poseidon was young, he was eaten by his father Kronos, but was soon-"

"Whoa, whoa. Slower. I need to take notes." She reached for a pen on my desk. Riptide.

"No!" I yelled. But it was too late. Annabeth uncapped the pen and it grew into a sword. Annabeth screamed and threw Riptide across the room. She put her hands over her mouth and stared at me.

"Oh my god." She said. "That did not just happen. No. This is all my imagination. I'm dreaming. Wake up Annabeth, wake up." She mumbled to herself. I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder.

"Annabeth-"

"Percy," She said and moved away. "What is going on?" Her face was pale and she was shaking.

"It's ok. Just calm down."

"How can I calm down when I just saw that pen turn into a sword?!" She demanded.

"Annabeth. Shh. Just calm down. I'll explain everything." I held out my hand and Annabeth hesitantly took it. I took her back downstairs.

"Ok. Now explain." She said as we sat on the couch again. Before I answered, Annabeth squeezed my hand really tight. I took a deep breath.

"Ok. So you know all those myths about Greek gods and monsters?" Annabeth nodded nervously. "Well they're not myths. They're real."

"But, but that's impossible."

"It's not impossible. Anyway, sometimes the gods come down to earth and have kids with mortals. Demigods. And... I'm a demigod." Annabeth's eyes widened.

"Wh-what? So, one of your parents is a god?" I nodded.

"Yeah. My dad. He's Poseidon."

"B-but he said that he wouldn't have any kids."

"He did. But he broke it."

"No- this can't be real."

"Annabeth I swear I'm not lying. I really am the son of Poseidon."

"Prove it." Annabeth said. I sighed and walked to my kitchen. Annabeth followed me. I got a glass and filled it with water.

"Watch this." I said. I concentrated, and lifted the water from the glass. Annabeth screamed. I put the water back in the glass.

"Believe me now?" I asked. Annabeth nodded.

"So, those things that I saw yesterday..."

"They're real. A real empousa and the dog bear thing, a hellhound."

"And that thing in the cafeteria? That was a hellhound?"

"Wait a minute- you remember that?"

"Of course." T

"But... I manipulated the Mist."

"The what?"

"Oh yeah... I forgot about the Mist. It's pretty much just a mist so regular mortals can't see the monsters and stuff."

"But I could see the monsters. Does that mean I'm a demigod?" She asked. I shrugged.

"That's what I've been thinking about. There's a good chance that you are a demigod, but there are also some humans who can see through the Mist." Annabeth looked around the room nervously, like she was scared something was listening to our conversation.

"So, you just like, fight monsters. Whenever." She asked.

"Yeah pretty much."

"Aren't you scared that you're going to get killed or something?"

"Sometimes. When I first found out that I was a demigod, I thought that I was going to die right away. But I'm still alive!" Annabeth laughed slightly.

"I, um, should probably get home." She said after an awkward silence.

"Oh, ok." Right before she left, I grabbed her hand.

"And Annabeth, if anything attacks you- ANYTHING at all- come and talk to me. And I'll help you. Ok?" She smiled and nodded.

"Of course. See you later." Annabeth walked out and I closed the door. This was confusing.
