(Morning)
ANNABETH
I felt hot breath on my neck, and my eyes shot open. I looked around the room that I was in- Megan's living room, I remembered. I looked down mad saw that I was in the same T-shirt and jeans from last night. There was also an arm wrapped tightly around my waist and my back was pressed against something hard. I felt the hot breathing again, and I carefully turned my head around... To find Percy sleeping behind me. He was snoring slightly. I had to admit, he looked kinda cute when he was sleeping. I gently picked up Percy's arm and moved it so I could get up. I yawned and started to walk to the kitchen. Hey, Megan's mom did say I could help myself to anything. I grabbed an apple from the counter and started to eat it.
"Hey, I have to ask you something." Someone said behind me, making me jump. I turned around and saw Percy standing a few feet away.
"Wh-what?" I asked. I was kind of scared that he was going to ask me out again. But he didn't.
"Do one of your best friends walk weirdly? You know, like limp when they walk?" He asked.
"What kind of question is that?" I said.
"Just answer." He said forcefully. I thought about it for a minute.
"Well, now that I think about it... No!" I said. I rolled my eyes. What a stupid question. Percy sighed.
"Nevermind." He muttered and put his hands in his pockets.
"Hey, remember yesterday when I came over to your house, and you told me your... 'Secret?'" I said.
"Uh, yeah. By the way, you haven't told anyone about-"
"No, I haven't. But before you told me, I activated that sword thing you have. What is that?" Percy looked confused for a second.
"Oh... You mean Riptide?" He asked, pulling a ballpoint pen out of his pocket.
"Yeah... Rip-whatever. Anyway, where did you get it?" I took it from him and looked at it.
"It was a gift from my father. He used it whenever he went into battle." Ok... I guessed that he was in a war or something. "It was cool enough, but then when I found out that he used it to kill his own father, I was beyond amazed-" I dropped the pen and screamed.
"What?" Percy asked, bending down to pick it up.
"Y-your father u-used th-that to... KILL his father?!" I yelled. Percy shrugged.
"Yeah." He said like it was nothing. "But, you know, it was like, a bajillion years ago, so I don't really know. I mean, I wasn't there so I don't have proof but-"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN A BAJILLION YEARS AGO?!" I screamed. Percy looked like he was scared of me. In a few seconds, Mark came running downstairs in his pyjamas.
"Annabeth- what's going on?" He asked.
"Mark... Go back upstairs. Annabeth and I need to have a private conversation." Percy said. Mark glared at him, but he walked back upstairs. I turned to Percy.
"Explain. Now." I said, trying not to scream.
"What are you talking about?" Percy said.
"What were YOU talking about?" I asked. "You said that your dad killed his father with... With that thing. Then you said that it happened a million years ago!"
"A bajillion, actually." Percy corrected quietly.
"I don't care. Stop messing with me, stop lying and stop-"
"I'm not lying!" Percy said. "It's true!"
"Right! What kind of man could live millions of years?" I asked. Percy clenched his fists.
