13. Tragedy part 2

Kam's pov

*9th grade*

In those two years that passed, my "friends" tried to pull me away from Luke. And stupid me let them. It wasn't like I wanted to stay with them...but I saw what they did to a kid that said something mean to them.

I was afraid.

Luke stopped talking to me and made new friends. I missed him so much it hurt. And he wouldn't listen to me.

One day, when I tried to approach him, he looked at me with a blank face and said:

"Do you still hang out around those fuckers?"

"Y-yes." I looked down.

"Then we can can't be friends." He said. "They use you...you know that, right?"

I nodded.

"Then why...?" He started, but I interrupted him.

"I'm afraid okay?!? They turn against anyone that won't listen to them. I'm afraid I won't have anyone." I looked down.

He put his hand on my cheek and made me look into his eyes.

"Am I not enough? Do you prefer them over me?" He asked, a bit of hurt in his voice.

"Luke...I'm...you'll leave me." I said.

By this point, I had tears pouring down my face like a waterfall.

"And why do you think that?"

"Because I..." I wanted to say it. I wanted to say that I figured out my feelings for him, that I wanted him, that I fell for him. But I knew he hated me now. I couldn't. "I just know."

"What are you hiding from me Kam?" He looked deeply into my eyes.

I fell to the ground and started crying more.

"Please don't make me say it. Please." It was hard to breathe.

If I told him the truth I'd be alone. And I don't wanna lose him again.

He took me in his arms and carried me all the way to his house, then put me on his bed.

"Are you still dating that bitch?" He growled the last word.

"Yes. But I don't even like her." I sad.

"Mhmm. Then who do you like?"

"Doesn't matter." I said simply.

"I want to tell you something."

"What?" I asked.

"I'm gay." Wow. Um... Okay. Wow.

"What!? Then... Okay. How did you figured that?"I asked... Curious now.

"Umm... I fell for one of my friends and I don't have any interests in girls." He blushed.

I am a bit irritated now.

"Who? Does he like you back?" I asked.

"No, he's straight." He said with a sad smile on his face.

"I'm sorry to hear that." NOT! I know... I'm selfish... Fuck off!! "Can we be friends again?"

"Not until you tell me what you're hiding from me." He said.

'I guess this is it' I thought.

"I like you." I closed my eyes and looked down. I couldn't face him.

There were a few minutes of silence before he spoke.

"Well... I guess we can't be friends anymore." He said.

A.N. :O!! I won't spoil anything (mostly because I didn't write the other part yet...) So...yea XD We'll find out together what happened that caused the car crash. I hope I can post the next chapter on Sunday...but I'm in Spain (for the first time) at the moment so...maybe I'll post it on Tuesday.
