We're in different times now, things happen that are crazy and out of the ordinary. How can the law enforcement just let everything slide? Oh.. I know.. because of the Mob, or better known as the Mafia.

The Mafia is a horrible organization made by the worst people in each country. Of course, they started in Italy and America, but oh, how it's expanded. Currently, the one in my country is the worst. They're very strict, they don't get their money? Ha, there's no use in hiding. Unless you dig yourself a house in the core of the earth. But honestly, even then, they'd find you.

--

I stare at my dad as he struggles to eat his breakfast. "Dad, can't you just tell us what's going on?" He looks up and frowns. His thick, unkempt eyebrows, knit together. I've been having high suspicions on what it could be about, it's the Thailand Mafia obviously.

My father is honestly the most uneducated person I know. He's so stupid, he literally wanted to join the T.M. Luckily the head of the group said that his record was way too clean, they want people who have actually murdered families and robbed banks. But they love the people who smuggle drugs and have connections, cause it means what? It means more of the green. Money.

But even though he told my dad that he wouldn't be accepting him into the Mafia, he refused to not be in the group. He decided to borrow money, then join. Idiot. "The Mob doesn't concern you what so ever. What I do, shouldn't be your business." He says sternly. I frown, now he's just playing stupid.

"Dad, if you do something bad, mom and I can be in danger. The Mob doesn't mess around, especially not the type you're associated with. And especially when it has to do with money." I tell him.

"Lalisa, shut your mouth before I shut it for you. You shouldn't be talking about things you don't understand." He says, but I continue anyway. "Things I don't understand? I know for a fact that whomever you have deals with and what not, he won't let things slide so easily." I explain. "Shut up." He whispers as he stabs his fork into his food, the utensil making a streaking sound. The kind of sound that makes you cringe. "You're going to get us killed, our blood will be on your hands, and you'll pay for it," I tell him.

He throws his plate at me, causing all his food to smother my clothes, was this the best he could do? He stands up with an extremely mad expression on his face. "Don't you think I FUCKEN know that!? I'm not stupid Lalisa!" He yells then stomps out of the kitchen. "Oh.. Honey.." I hear my mom say as she walks over to me from the stove.

She had been there watching, she's been too scared lately to stand up for herself or for me. I guess that tells you something. She frowns as she begins to clean me up, I help her by placing the food on the plate that now sat on the table.

I look at her, her dark brown hair is slowly becoming gray from the roots. She looks exhausted, the bags under her eyes have become dark and saggy. Maybe because since my dad started hiding his business with the Thailand Mafia from us, she hasn't been able to sleep well. I haven't either. "Mom. Why can't we just leave dad?" I ask. She looks at me horrified.

"No! You know we can't! How dare you ask me that!? Do you want us killed?! And even if we did leave, they would still come and look for us." She yells stepping away from me. I see her trembling in fear, I hate seeing her this way.

She was screaming hysterically, like she couldn't control her body to the thought of the Mafia, of us leaving my father. It isn't my mother's fault that she's like this. It's my dad's fault, he's made us mentally unstable. Though I'm much stronger than my mother, I hate how she is through all this.
