•Training Begins•
Day 1

The jerk ass Namjoon finally let me start training. There are so many secret passages in this house, it's much bigger than I originally anticipated. CL, Gummy, Taemin and I are in the training center. "You got to make your legs stronger," Taemin tells me as he smacks my thighs, well damn!

"Look, you're still weak." He slightly pushing my shoulder, my body moves. I try another stance, "Weak." He says pushing me again. "Weak." He says again, I try one last stance. "Weak." He repeats himself when he pushes my shoulder and I almost fall. "Taemin, stop doing that." Gummy tells him. "Stand like this." He says, he finally shows me the right way to stand. He smacks my thigh again, "Lightly bend your knees." I do what he says.

I do his exact stance and wait for him check my strength again. He lightly pushes me, and I move a bit, much less than before. "Much better, I wanted to see how you think you should stand first before showing you. We got to work on your thighs and strength." He says I stand up straight. "Now let's start on your training." I nod. He started me out with squats and leg kicks.

Gummy and CL just watched, I guess Taemin is head of training. He's a very good teacher, he helped me stretch out correctly. He told me that my inner rage for my father is a good way to channel my inner strength. The training was very intense, but he didn't yell at me, he was very calm with me, he helped me do things right when I couldn't get it down.

Then I begin to realize that the reason Gummy and CL are watching me, is because I will have to face them on the fighting mat before I face everybody else. "You're doing very good Lalisa, but I think that's enough for today. You should get some rest we will start bright and early tomorrow." My eyebrows knit. "No, I want to continue until I'm sweating, I'm bleeding, or even crying. I have to prove them wrong, Namjoon, and my dad. I'm not stopping, train me." He just stands there and looks at me, "Train me, I want to learn."

He stares at me longer, and I'm not sure if he's disappointed in me or if he's impressed. I hate that everybody thinks that I'm weak when really I'm not. I've been through so much shit in the past few days and I want to show everybody that I can be stronger than anyone they've saved in the WP program. I want to be different. I want to be that person that people can rely on, not some weak person that everyone has to look after.

"Lalisa, I don't want to push you so hard that you break. I've seen it happen, even with the strongest people." And I begin to wonder if he's talking about Namjoon, they say that he has the most horrible story out of everyone here. Out of everyone in the witness protection program, I want to know. "You're not going to break me, you're only going to make me stronger. Not to admit it but, I'm my father's daughter and he's hardheaded, which makes me hardheaded. Teach me, please."

He looks at me with that glare again, I can't quite make out what he's thinking. Maybe he's thinking I'm acting like a teenager, an immature teenager. Or that I'm acting like I'm strong, but really I am strong. "You need your rest, sore muscles cannot work when they are pushed to their limits. That is why I have to train you, to become fit so that you can be able to do everything we do. I'm not going to put you on that mat and have you end up on your back, I want everyone else on their back when they face you on that mat."

His words encourage me, but it makes me think that he's just doing this so that he can make me stop training for today. But maybe he's right, I'll possibly wake up sore in the morning and taking a rest for the day would be for the best. I let out of breath and give in to him. "Fine, but I'm only doing it because I'm hungry. Not because I want to quit." I explain to him. He laughs, "I'm not telling you to take a break because I think you're going to quit. I'm telling you this so that you can get some rest and you won't wake up sore in the morning."
