Aubrey woke up seeing that they were just in an accident. She saw that she had only a few cuts but looked in the back to see if Beca was okay. Beca seemed unconscious.
"Oh my god Beca!" Aubrey tried to unbuckle her seat belt but it was stuck. In front of her she saw that there was a fire that was building up.
"Come on, fxck!" She started pulling and tugging at her seatbelt but it managed to stay stuck and not come unclicked. The once small fire was starting to grow.
"Help!!" The people from the other car all seemed alright but they ran to the ones that hit them. They tried to help the two girls that were stuck in the car.
"Please, I need help!! We need help!!" Aubrey started screaming and crying. A male came with a pocket knife and cut Aubrey's seat belt since it was jammed in the lock. Once she was free she tried to get Beca out. One of the doors was blocked by a ramp for the freeway and the other door was jammed. Aubrey was really frustrated so she punched the window with her bare fist and to tried to open it from there. She carried Beca out and they ran safely to the other side since and the other people helped grab the stuff they could save so it didn't burn in the fire. After they were all away from the tragic accident the two cars exploded. Everybody that was in the accident covered their heads while Aubrey went to cover Beca's head. Police cars, firefighters, and ambulances came to the scene. They helped the ones that were in the accident. News reporters, shortly after, came asking the ones in the accident how all this happened.
"Can you explain to me how this happened?"
"I don't know, I-I was just driving and we just hit them I don't know how. Is she going to be alright?" They weren't exactly sure but said they will take her to the hospital. They then took Aubrey and Beca to the nearest hospital. Beca was still unconscious but was still breathing. Aubrey held on to Beca's hand and felt so horribly bad that she blamed herself and couldn't stop crying. She wasn't just crying because this was the girl she had a crush on, but also because this was her college friend. Once they made it to the hospital, surgeons were waiting outside running towards the ambulance while the paramedics were yelling out information about what had happened and what was wrong with Beca. They took Aubrey in the emergency room and help bandage her wrist up.
"C-can I see her?"
"She's going into surgery right now. But I will update you soon." As the doctor started walking away Aubrey said "Thanks Dr. Grey." He smiled back at Aubrey.
Aubrey then walked into the waiting room and called her best friend Chloe.
"Aubrey?" She heard Aubrey crying through the phone.
"C-Chloe. I was just in a car accident." Chloe then rose up from her bed.
"Oh my god are you okay?"
"I'm fine, but Beca is in surgery right now." Aubrey started sobbing more.
"Wait Beca is with you? Do you want me to go meet you where you are at?"
"No, I just wanted to let you know. I just wanted to tell you I'm alright and just pray that she will be alright."
"Are you sure, I can meet you right now."
"I'm sure."
"Call me if you need ANYTHING."
"Alright."
"Love you."
"Love you too. Bye." Chloe hung up the phone and started panicking. Having a fight with the woman she has had a crush on for the longest time then hearing, in the same day, that her and her best friend were in a car accident.
An hour later Dr. Shepard came out to explain what was wrong with Beca.
"Ms. Posen?"
"Yes, is Beca okay." Aubrey wiped away her tears with her sleeves.
"She just got out of surgery. She had internal bleeding in her brain, but we were able to fix that and now she is in recovery."
"Can I see her."
"Yes, come with me."
Dr. Shepard escorted Aubrey to the room Beca was in. Beca was sleeping, but Aubrey sat down on a chair by Becas hospital bed. She grabbed Beca's hand and kissed it. Her right hand was still aching from the accident. Aubrey then laid her head on the hospital bed and fell asleep.
An hour later Beca woke up seeing that there was an IV in her left arm. She was confused for a moment but didn't freak out. She started remembering that she was changing in the back of the car and then minutes later she was in a car crash.
"O-ow." Aubrey then woke to hearing the brunette's voice.
"You're up." Aubrey said in a tired voice.
"Yeah and you're laying on my hand, and I think it's going num."
"Oh s-sorry." The two women both laughed. "So how are you feeling?"
"I've been worse."
"R-really, wow."
"What happened exactly?"
"Well, we were in a car accident."
"I know that, but what happened?"
"I honestly have no idea. I think that I just looked away for a couple of seconds and I hit the car in front of us and Beca I am really sorry about all of this. This is all my fault. I should've just let you be, if I left you alone you wouldn't be in here right now. I'm so sorry. I'm really sorry." Aubrey then began crying, she honestly felt awful for all that had happened. It has been about 4 hours since the car accident. Aubrey kept blaming herself for everything. She began crying more, Beca then put her hand on Aubrey's face wiping her tears.
"W-what are you doing?"
"I'm wiping the tears off your face."
"W-why? You don't have to feel bad for me."
"Aubrey shut up. You saved my life! You punched open a window with your bare fist to get me out. I thank and love you for that. You're a great friend."
At this moment the two girls were staring at each other. Beca still had her hand on Aubrey's face wiping the tears off with her thumb. They kept eye contact for another 30 seconds. Aubrey's face started to move closer to Beca's face. Before her lips could touch the brunette's, she stared into her eyes for another 10 seconds. Once her lips touched Beca's, they both had one hand on the others face. They smiled through the kisses.
Chloe came to the hospital to surprise the two. She brought flowers and went to the front desk to find the room Beca was staying. As she was walking, she dropped the envelope that was with the cards. She picked up the envelope and she was facing a room that had two girls kissing. She smiled because of how happy the two looked, but her face changed when she realized it was her two best friends Beca and Aubrey.
