At St. Bastion Haven, Barry Nunn sat in his office with an old colleague of his. He was familiarizing her on the files of the patients at St. Bastion. He introduced her to his entire staff and had her follow him to his office. They sat down to a cup of coffee. Barry's guest was Andrea Dawson. She went to college with Barry and they always kept in touch. Andrea, like Barry was a psychiatrist as well as a psychologist. She was also a practicing physician. She had moved to Metro City to start her own practice. When Barry found out that she had moved there, he asked her to work along with him at St. Bastion.
"So, Andrea," Barry started, "What do you think?"
"Well, your work here is intriguing Barry," Andrea answered, "I never would have thought that you'd be doing such intense work."
"I know. I never thought that I'd be dealing with such disturbed patients myself. I knew that the city was full of psychotics, but I never thought it'd be anything like this."
"I noticed that you have a file labeled incomplete. What's that about?"
"That file is one that I don't think I'll ever finish," Barry began. He walked over to his desk and sat down. "That file is my Knight Hawk file."
"The Knight Hawk," Andrea said in thought, "Yes, I have heard the rumors."
"There is no rumor Andrea. He is very real, and he has saved the city on countless occasions."
"Then why does he stir you so?"
"I'm not denying that he is a hero, I'm just concerned about his own health. I mean what could have happened to him to cause such a passion for what he does. To give your very life for strangers night after night. What could have possibly happened to him, or what could he have done to deserve such a plight."
"I see," Andrea commented.
At Smith Estates, Tony slept in the entire day. He was still mourning the loss of his love, Vivica. He didn't know what he was going to do without Vivica. He had missed her a lot during his absence and now felt as lost as ever. Jeffrey disturbed his day of solitude.
"How long are you going to wallow in your sorrows sir?" Jeffrey questioned as he pulled the curtains in Tony's bedroom.
"I know Jeffrey," Tony answered silently, "I just don't feel up to anything anymore. It makes me think that maybe this whole Knight Hawk thing was a bad idea."
"I don't know about it being a bad idea, but it is extremely dangerous. A lot of people depend on you now. You must remember that."
"Unfortunately, you're right Jeffrey."
"I am most of the times, sir."
Meanwhile, a fishing schooner off the coast of Mexico was returning to dock. What the fishermen didn't know was that deep below the water, embedded in a coral reef, lay the scourge of Metro City, the Terror. The schooner was making one last pull when their net pulled the Terror from his underwater burial. The fishermen reeled in the net and found the Terror seemingly dead.
"Someone call the coast guard," the head fisherman shouted.
"Yes, sir," answered one of the seamen. They all rushed to free the Terror from the coral that had started to grow on him. The Terror had started to regain consciousness. He started coughing up water as he tried to get up.
