*Rexy's P.O.V*
I stood in front of my mothers grave. The fall breeze caused the branches of the trees to sway in the wind, and my hair to sway along with it.
Here lies Rachel Grey, loving mother and wife. May she forever rest in peace with the angels.
"Hi mom, it's me Rexy. I see dad brought you your favorite flowers again this year."
She had always loved cherry blossoms. I think it was the fact that something so pretty could look so delicate at the same time.
"Thanks for being our guardian angel and watching over me and dad. It's been rough not having you here with us, but I hope you're finally free of all the pain. I love you mom, you'll always hold a place in my heart. I will never forget you, or all the love you gave us."
I felt a single tear trickle down my cheek. As I wiped it away, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I turned around to find Ryder and the guys dressed in black, with comforting smiles.
"Don't worry Mrs.Grey, we'll always be there for your daughter no matter what, even if she can be a little hard headed sometimes." Ryder said, which caused us all to chuckle.
I put down the flower I brought on her grave.
Ryder put his arm around my shoulder as we all walked to Logan's car.
Even though Ryder acted like a bad ass, and a playboy in front of other people, he can actually be really sincere and gentle when he wanted to be. He knew the same pain I felt, since he lost someone himself....his father.
Ryder and his dad never had a good relationship when he became a freshman in high school. He wanted to become a rock star while his dad wanted him to study business in college.
After a huge argument, his dad stormed out and got killed in a car accident involving a drunk driver. Ryder made it to the hospital when his dad took his last few breaths.
Using his last words he told Ryder that he would be proud of his son no matter what path he chooses in life, and that he loved him. Ryder was devastated after that, and isolated himself for a few months. With the help of Logan, Alex, and his passion for music, he was able to get back up on his feet again.
When I joined the band, Ryder shared his story when he found out what happened to my mom.
*Flashback*
"Ryder why are we on the roof of the music store?", the sun was setting over the city. Ryder said he wanted to take me somewhere special to him after band practice.I was still getting to know everyone, but I always felt like Ryder was more distant towards me.
When he didn't answer my question, I looked over at him. I saw him sitting down close to the edge, looking at the view of the city with a distant expression on his face.
"Ummm Ryder, what are we doing he-"
" I tried to commit suicide here once."
I was shocked and speechless at his confession, but he kept talking.
"I always came here after an argument with my dad to cool off, but It got to the point where I just couldn't take it anymore. All the pressure and expectations from everyone, it was just too much for me to handle." He leaned closer to the edge. "I was just going to take a jump, quick and easy, was what I kept thinking."
As I sat down next to him, he turned to face me,
"The day my dad was in that accident, I was really going to do it. I was ready and about to take the jump....but then my phone rang. It was a nurse, telling me what happened to my father."
