*Rexy's P.O.V*
"Be careful, a lot of this furniture you're unloading is worth more than what you two make in a year combined!"
When I finally arrived at Jason's place I got off the taxi and saw Mr.Ruiz standing next to a moving truck, watching the two workers unload furniture....well more like yelling at them.
"Hey Mr.Ruiz, what's going on?"
"Ah Rexy, you're finally here. I felt the need to rearrange a few things in Jason's home to make you more comfortable while you're staying here, and by the way, you know you don't have to call me Mr.Ruiz, I'd feel much more comfortable if you called me Emilio."
I smiled and put my hand on his shoulder, "Well....thinking how you basically tried to buy me off like I was some toy makes me NOT comfortable enough to call you that."
He walked towards the opened front door and motioned his hand for me to go inside. He smiled and said with a hopeful tone, "Well maybe your opinion will change over time."
"Yeeaaah, I highly doubt that."
I walked in and deja vu hit me as I remembered that the last time I was here, I was completely wasted. I didn't want Mr.Ruiz to see the embarrassment on my face so I kept pushing that memory to the back of my mind.
"Rexy, come with me and I will show you your room."
"My room?" I asked confused as I followed Mr.Ruiz
"Yes, I turned Jason's study into a room for you. I hope you like it, your father and an interior designer worked on the concept of it so that it would be to your liking."
I walked in and was amazed, like I understand it's just a bedroom so what would be so special about it. But everything looked so perfect, it was basically the room of my dreams. All of my recording stuff and instruments had their own place, the closet was filled with clothes that looked my style, and the bed was big and looked so comfortable, I was tempted to just throw myself on there and feel the cold sheets on my face but didn't want to look childish in front of Mr.Ruiz. Then I started analyzing all these thoughts that were going through my head and brought myself back to reality.
"Look Mr.Ruiz, this is very generous of you but you didn't have to do this for me. I would've been perfectly fine just sleeping on the couch. I get what you're trying to do by getting me all this stuff and it's not going to work, I still always want to be with Ryder."
"You have the same strong character as your mother, but Rexy that's not what I'm trying to do here. I just thought that for the time that you'd stay here, you'd be more comfortable having a room. I'm sorry if it looked like I was trying to bribe you."
He looked at me, and it seemed like there was some sincerity in his eyes, but I just couldn't accept it.
"Anyways, I should probably be on my way. I have a meeting in an hour that I need to prepare for. Jason's at work and will come home in a bit, so feel free to explore the place."
As soon as he left, I began wandering around. Jason's house in general wasn't that big, but it seemed like a person would feel lonely living here by themselves. He didn't even really have many family picture frames around, maybe a few here and there but they were just of him and some friends. I saw he had a record collection and decided to put something on. I was so used to hanging around the guys, that the silence in this house was driving me mad. I danced around freely, and sang along to the songs pretending like I was performing on stage. It felt nice to just let loose, but eventually all the dancing got me very hungry. I ended up walking into the kitchen to make myself something to eat.
