I sat with my back against the wall, running my fingers through my dark hair. I was supposed to be on a date with my boyfriend, Tyler, but he cancelled to hang out with his brother. Of course, he chose beer over me. He used to be such a sweet, inocent boy untill his older brother, Mikey, took him to a college party.

My phone screen lit up, showing a text from my friend Marcy.
"Hey, are you doing ok? You havent replied in a while." her words glowed on the screen.
My hands shook as I typed a short reply, "no, can you come over?"
Only seconds later the screen lit up again. "Yea im coming. Tyler again?"
I typed a simple "yes" and stood up to go downstairs. I knew it wouldnt take her long to get here since she only lived a few blocks away.

I heard the door creak open as Marcy stepped inside, she never knocked anymore. She walked over and sat down on the couch beside me. "So what happened this time? I though you two were going to see a movie tonight." she said, crossing her legs so that she sat facing me.
"We were, but he would rather go to yet another party with Mikey," I replied.
"Hey, its ok. Hes 19, he just wants to look cool for his brother."
"I know he does, but whats so cool about bailing on your girlfriend?"
She paused for a minute then smiled, "Why dont we go see that movie and get some ice cream? We could get cookie dough on top."
"I do love cookie dough," I said as I stood up, "but maybe I should go change shirts. This one is covered in cat hair!"

As I sat silently in the passenger seat in Marcy's car, she handed me her phone and the AUX cord. She smiled and said, "Play whatever you want, but dont make any more stations on my Pandora. Youve already made like 20!" I laughed and flipped to my favorite station, Pierce the Veil. Marcy didnt care for them too much but she always laughed at me trying to sing along.

When we arrved at the theatre, we bought some popcorn and drinks then went to find good seats. We decided to sit on the 8th row, not too close but not too far. After sitting through nearly 30 minutes of commercials, the movie finally started. I glanced over at Marcy to see that she had already eaten all of her popcorn, as usual.

As soon as the movie ended and the credits flashed across the screen, Marcy and I both rushed to the bathrooms in an attemped to beat the crowd. Unfortunatly, we did not succeed. After 10 minutes of standing in line, we had finally relieved ourselves and were making our way back to the car when a familiar face cought my eye. Mikey.
