Phan hunger games (Phanfiction)

Chapter 11

I start to panic. I quickly run out of the cave to see if I could find Phil. I looked around me and I didn't see him. I about went off to look for him, but before I could even take a step I heard a scream coming from about maybe 20 or 30 yards away from me and I immediately knew that that scream belonged to Phil.

I run as fast as I could toward the scream, and when I got their I saw Phil and the boy from district 12, I think his name was Talon, having a fist fight. It looked like Talon was winning cause he was less bloody than Phil and Phil looked like he was about to pass out. I had to do something to stop this fast. I look around to see if I could use anything as a weapon. I finally saw a rock that was just a little bit bigger than my hand. I thought 'this will do.'

I quickly but sneakily walked behind Talon and I hit him as hard as i could in the back of the head with the rock and he immediately fell to the ground. I must have hit the right spot on his head cause a few seconds later the canon went off. I look at Phil and I see the he has a few cuts on his cheeks and I could easily tell that he had a broken nose. He also had tears going down his face. I did too.

"Dan" Phil said while he was running up and hugging me.

"Phil" I said as we held each other like we hadn't seen each other in 20 years.

"You saved me. Thank you Dan." Phil sobbed.

I pull away from the hug so I can wipe away some of the tears on Phil's face. I gently kiss Phil's forehead.

"Lets go back to the cave okay." I say softly to him.

"Okay" he nods.

We walk back to the cave and we lay back down for a little bit not knowing what to say or where to start. So i decided to break the silence.

"How did you get into that fight?" I asked.

Phil looked at me for a minute and finally said, "I was looking for berries for us to eat when I see Talon running toward me with no weapons and he was yelling 'I gonna kill you with my bare hands'. I thought 'hey, he is not that big I could take him'. Then he started trowing punches and I realized that he is a lot stronger than he looks. He was beating the crap out of me. He was actually reaching out to try to strangle me, but then you came and stopped him. Again, thank you so much for saving me from death. I know I'm going to die anyways, but I want to be with you for as long as I can before I die, and I hope that you feel the same way cause....." he hesitates for a few seconds "I really like you Dan. Like in a romantic kind of way. And I know we are fighting to the death and only one of us or both of us will die but I can't help the way I feel about you."

I crawl over to him and place my hand on his cheek. I gave him a peck on the lips and say "I really like you too."
