Chapter 1

Jaz's P.O.V

I wake up to the sound of my alarm. As my alarm I have the song "Pompeii" by Bastille which is my favorite song ever! I get out of bed and walk into the kitchen where my mum is cooking pancakes. "Goodmorning love" says mum. "Morning mum" I groan still half asleep. "Do you want to go shopping today?" Asked mum, "Sure! I better go get ready straight after breakfast then!" I reply with excitement. After I eat some pancakes I go back to my room and start to get ready. As I stare into my closest I realize that all of my clothes are ugly and I have nothing nice to wear. Ugh! I decide to wear my most decent outfit which is light blue denim shorts with frills a floral singlet and tan strappy sandals. I quickly braid my hair back into a messy ponytail and grab my purse. Mum drives me to the shops and gives me some extra money. "Thanks mum, you're the best!" I say as I walk away. As I step into the shopping centre I feel a sudden breeze and a chill goes down my spine. I walk over to my favorite shop, Jetty Surf. Damn!! There is nothing to buy but I look around a second time just incase something catches my eye. I end up just buying a couple of anklets and a pink flower crown. After I paid and walked out of the store I sat down at Starbucks and checked my social media on my iPhone. After sitting down for a while I get up and start walking to another of my favorite shops, Forever New! But before I got there I was tripped over and fell on my face. OMG this is so embarrassing, everyone at this point is staring at me like I'm a freak. I gather my purse and start to get up but I stopped in my tracks as I saw the most cutest smile ever on a boy around my age. I started blushing and as I stood up I tried to talk, but I couldn't. Instead I gave him a friendly smile.
