I feel like I just got out of my tomb when I finished this chapter. Oh boy, I thought I could never write again. Thank you to those who have tried to save Trigger and Bullets from downward spiral. Sometimes in our lives we have to feel sadness to search for happiness, and there will always be good souls who will grip your hand to save you from the monster whirlwind. I hope I’m making sense. Hehe.

Anyway, this is a filler chapter but clues are everywhere, detectives. So read carefully. And… feel free to shout your predictions below. Your comments really helped me survive s’retirw kcolb.

Back from the grave and still holding the muddy shovel,

Bullet thirteen

Everyone watched us as we walked together to the lobby of Brent University. I know I really get attention but this much was way too annoying. It must have been because of the news about me stealing a Police bike that made them watch us like we were some glittering salmons flying in the sky or birds swimming in a pond. Hindi pa ba sila maka-get over sa maling balitang iyon at kahit na isang linggo na ang nakakaraan—nang mangyari ang nangyari—people were still gawking at me? Or was it this man at my right that they were really watching and not me? I hadn’t been sure.

“I must say you really can silence a crowd,” bulong niya, habang naglalakad kami sa ibinigay na daan ng mga taong unti-unti ring tumahimik habang kami ay lumalapit. The crowd literally split as we approached.

“You can even divide the sea like Moses,” dugtong niya. Humalukipkip na lang ako habang naglalakad.

“Oh my Lord!” two girls shrieked in unison as we past them. I looked at him in the corner of my eye, he was looking straight ahead. Maybe he didn’t have clue that it wasn’t me who was getting all the attention. It was him. Or maybe he was inured to this that was why he seemed unbothered.

“Can I save you a seat for lunch?” Tanong niya nang bumubulong. I slowly turned back to look at him and saw his expectant eyes. I wasn’t supposed to be with him but he insisted to walk me to my class. It seemed like he waited at the parking lot so I agreed. And this friendly gesture wouldn’t hurt, I thought.

“I have a project date, sorry.” That wasn’t a lie. Totoong nakatakda ako sa isang group project.

“Okay.” There is something about this guy that makes you want to watch him. I could even imagine him smirking after saying that. Napailing na lang ako. There is something about him that makes you want to slap his arrogance, too. Yeah right, but Cole is Cole.
