Jimin's POV

I woke up early and started to clean up. The more I cleaned, the more pissed I got. If my mom offered to take care of two kids for months, shouldn't she actually take care of them? It wasn't fair that all of this was left for me to deal with. At least before I had had my freedom, and now that had been taken away from me.

Why couldn't life smile for me for a second? Some people won in lottery or found the love of their lives but I got nothing. How was that fair? What had I done? I didn't want to be waste of space but since everyone else thought so I guessed it made me that.

The pressure in my chest grew when I got my books I never read from my bookshelves and put them into boxes. I didn't know if my cousin or her friend would have a lot of stuff. Oh my God, what if they were rich? They probably waited for huge rooms with big beds and separated bathrooms. We only had one at the end of the hall. I sunk my fingers to my orange hair and tore it a little bit. I hated feeling anxious. The uneasiness whirled around my stomach and I wanted to throw up. I swallowed hard and decided I was done with my books.

I spent all morning cleaning up. I cleared up my closet and my desk. I vacuumed the whole apartment. At some point I stopped and hit the wall, wondering why I was doing this for people I had never met and because of another person who didn't give a shit about me. I refused to cry. I took a deep breath and continued vacuuming.

I was eating some cookies I had found from the cabinet when I heard a car stopping in front my house. I peeked through the window and saw a cab parked on the sidewalk. I took my time walking to the front door and opening it. I didn't try to put a smile on my face since I knew it wouldn't come.

It was usually that way.

I walked on the yard, which was basically only dead grass and flowers. I had never felt like bringing it back to life. If I was sad, the grass had its rights to be too. I didn't raise my gaze from the grass until someone spoke to me.

"You are Jimin, right?"

"Huh?" I brought my gaze up and my eyes found a pretty girl. She had long brown hair, and she looked at me with a huge smile. I didn't smile back, obviously, but I nodded as an answer.

"I'm Sumin."

"Okay." I turned my head and looked away. She was looking at me with so much curiosity that it made me feel uncomfortable. I just waited for the moment she would realize I wasn't interesting and would join to the people who didn't care. Meaning all people, basically.

She shrugged at my actions and waited for the cab driver to give her her bags. When she was finally handed her bags, she walked past me to the porch.

"Can you show me my room?" she said.

I knew she didn't mean it badly, she honestly wanted to know where she was sleeping for the next month, but I felt bad. I couldn't believe our house would be good enough for her and her friend.

Oh, her friend... I faced the cab again and saw another person getting up from it. First thing I saw was a dark haired top. So dark it was almost black. Then came a pretty face. His brown eyes found mine and I felt my almost-smile fade. What was this? Her friend was a guy? This was not good. I stood there and stared, but I was glad I wasn't the only one. His eyes widened the longer he looked at me. I felt my cheeks flush and I tried to hide it by looking at the ground.

Why had he looked at me? I was nothing. You could've as easily looked at air, just as interesting in my and many others' opinion.

But I knew I would have to face him sooner or later so I looked back. He was still staring. I did not know how to handle this kind of situations. Maybe he wasn't looking at me. I took a step to right but his eyes followed my moves. Okay, so he was looking at me. I swallowed hard and raised my hand. Then I waved, just a little bit.

To my surprise he waved back. He even opened his mouth and spoke actual words. "I'm Jungkook."

"I'm Jimin."

He smiled and I felt myself blush even more. "I know."
