Chapter 4

Dmitri POV

I headed to my next class after leaving my biology class. I can't believe she told me that my mate. I walked into my English class thinking of nothing but her. When this slutty girl name Ashley stepped in front of me. “Hey Dmitri” “ Hey”i said looking her up and down with a disgusting look on my face. But she didn't get the message because she continued to speak. “ My parents aren't gonna be home tonight and I was wondering if you wonted to come over?” I only slept with her once and now she thinks were a couple ugh stupid slut. Just as I was about to answer the bell sounded so I headed to my seat.

For the rest of the class my mind wondered to my mate. Why would she hate me, I mean she doesn't even know me. I heard my wolf speak to me he was furious with what she said.”You have to make her understand that we can't be without her.” I know was all I could say.

When the bell sounded I headed to lunch. I walked inside and seen Mackenzie sitting with the guy that helped her up when I knocked her down. My wolf growled,not because the guy was leaning really close to her as she put her books on the table because I know he's gay. But, because he's mad at me for knocking our mate down on her ass.

I watched as she headed to get in line for her lunch. I walked over and gave the people that were standing behind her death glares so they'd leave. I stepped behind her and whispered in her ear. “Why don't you let me buy you lunch angel?. She turned around and glared at me before speaking. “Why on earth would I let you do that?” “Because” I said “ I wont to be your friend, and apologize for knocking you down.” I was careful this time to make it my fault, even tho I know it was hers. Just then my wolf growled to show me he wasn't happy with my thought. I look back at Mackenzie to mack sure she didn't her him. She still had that glare on her face, satisfied she didn't hear me I waited for her to answer.

She surprised me by saying “Why do you wont to be my friend?” I thought for a moment “Well” I said

“I like you and I would like to get to know you better.” she thought for a moment as if she was really considering my words. Then she said “OK, we're friends now will you leave me alone so I can go eat my lunch.” I smiled and paid for both of our lunch as she walked toward her table. I looked over at my table and saw all my friends setting there I motioned for them to come join us.

I grabbed a seat next to Mackenzie and set down. She turned and looked at me and asked “ What do you think your doing?” I smiled a big smile at her before speaking “I’m sitting with my new friend.”

She looked at me blankly before giving in”fine”she said. I watched as each of my friends came to set down at the table. Once they were seated I introduced them to her. “These are my friends” I said. “That's Conner, Mason, and Cole” I told her. They all smile at her as she said “Nice to meet you” to each of them. She then introduced them to her friend Henry. He smiled at each of them and said the something.

For the rest of lunch we talked about our classes. When the bell sounded I stood up and waited for Mackenzie. I found out through our discussion that we had our next class together. I waited for her to stand before I spoke. “You don't mind if I walk you to class do you?' she looked at me and smiled be fore answering “No I don't.”with that we walked out of the cafeteria together.
