Dmitri POV

When the bell sounded ending school. I headed to Mackenzie's locker

I was still mad at myself for canceling on her but I had a plan to make it up to her.

I waited as she made her way towards me." Hey" I said as she began opening her locker. " Hi" she replied smiling. "I was thinking that instead of going to my house we go somewhere else"."OK" she said "where are we going?" I smiled "its a surprise." She looked at me suspiciously before closing her locker and following me to my car.I decided to take her to the beach just outside of town. I had Conner set up a picnic on an abandon part of the beach while we were at school. When we finally reached the beach I lead her down a path the lead behind a big rock."ok, close your eyes" I said. I smiled as she was standing there with her handsover her eyes smiling. I took her by the hand and lead her all the way around the rock. After making sure everything was in place I said " you can look now" i watched as her face turned from shock to excitement"wow, this is amazing" she said taking in her surrounding. I was happy that she like it and i couldnt wait to start our evening.

Mackenzie POV

I can't believe he was taking me to the beach of all places I figured he'd take me to a crackle barrel are something(not dissing crackle barrel I ate there today lol). When we pulled up at the beach I thought we were going to go for a walk along the beach but instead he lead me down a path that lead behind a big huge rock. When I was half way around the rock I hear Dmitri say "close your eyes" so I put my hands over my eyes and smiling to myself thinking I look like a 5 year old."you can look now" I hear him say . pulling my hands away from my eyes I took in the sight before me laying top of the sand was a beautiful red blanket ad on top of that lied a light brown picnic basket with white strips . There was rose panels all over the blanket and right in center was a dozen roses. I couldn't believe he did all of this for me. I watched as he walked over and picked up the roses."these are for you ",he said handing me the flowers with a grin "I can't believe you did all this for me" I said walking over to the blanket with his hand in mine thinking this was going to be a great evening.
