I have to get out of here, now.

Of course he was here. Here, where I assumed I was safe for a while, here, where the closest thing to royalty harboured me unknowingly. I should have known he would find me eventually. His eyes lock on to me, and sweep my frame appreciatively, before finding my eyes. So recognisable. Suddenly, his calm face is overcome with shock.

Yep, I definitely have to go.

I stand up and nod to Lillian. " May I be excused?"
She glares daggers at me, no doubt thinking how I could be so rude as to leave as the prince arrives, but nods her head anyway. I nod to Tessa, the guards, and finally him.
"Your majesty." I mutter.
"My Lady." He says, eyes still on mine.
I escape.

My skirts flutter about me as I quickly step towards to guest room, my room. I close the door tightly. Time to escape. I slip the dress off reluctantly and grab my pants and shirt. I change quickly, folding the dress neatly on the bed, and walk towards the open window. I study the drop, only a few feet, not bad. I lift my leg to begin my descent-

And the door knocks.

"I'm going home, Tess-" I say, assuming she's at the door.
"I'm coming in." A gruff voice says.

Oh dear.

I barely have time to register the voice when the door opens, revealing the prince, smirking cockily at the sight of me, in pants, with one leg out of the window. Crap.
