That night they slept together in Sarah's room, The Doctor curled around her smaller body, his face buried in her hair. She awoke to the sun streaming in through the windows and smiled feeling The Doctors warm breath on her neck and shoulders.
The constant possessiveness was a difference from most normal human men but it was better than the alternative of hardly any affection at all. Timelords took supplements to control the so called "intense emotions" they could get embedded in their original DNA especially when involving romance with another being. The Doctor on supplements would hold her hand and hug her every once in a while, but it was getting frustrated when they had been dating for two months and he hadn't kissed her once.
He agreed to go cold turkey with her in the TARDIS and it had resulted in him nearly destroying k-9 in hormone-imbalance-fueled-annoyance and Sarah Jane being followed around by him constantly to the point of her locking him outside the bedroom so she could have some peace and quiet.
The loss of the supplements caused a migraine like ,headache leaving him curled underneath the covers when not fussing over little things and generally being a pain. The Doctors brain over the next few days eventually had caught up to his changes and he was mostly normal afterwards except for the occasional outburst towards K-9 or need to simply be hugged every once in a while.
Sarah couldn't imagine what it had been like for him to be without her for so long. She partially hoped he had gone back on the supplements for the Timelords' sake as he rubbed his face in her hair and had burrowed into the blankets of her bed.
She checked the time, as her clock boyfriend was still asleep and found it to be still relatively early for her waking up on a Saturday. Perhaps, if she could untangle herself from his long arms and scarf, she could make waffles or pancakes for the two of them.
She tried to get up slowly to let him sleep longer but was caught hardly out of bed.
"Mmm....I want to cuddle you more though. You're so warm and sleepy." He whined wrapping around her tighter. Sarah kissed his arms and hands holding her and wriggled out of his grasp.
"I know you do darling but you can sleep a bit longer if you would like." She said putting on her slippers and wrapping her robe around her pajamas.
"Okay, I haven't slept in about a week so if you don't mind I'll be getting some more sleep." he yawned curling around her still warm pillow and cuddling that instead. Sarah smiled at him and crept downstairs.
There was a small layer of frost on the ground as she walked outside picking up her newspapers that littered across the front lawn. She shook the leaves off of them and opened one up as she heated up some warm water for tea. In no time the pot boiled and she poured herself a cup and sat in her favorite chair to read the news.
About ten minutes passed quietly when she heard shuffling upstairs in her room. Heavy steps soon made their way down the stairs and The Doctor appeared stretching out his long arms and brushing back his wild curls away from his face. Sarah looked up from her newspaper a smiled to herself. It was like watching a nature documentary; the sleepy bear rising out of his cave in search for a morning snack, or in his case, his jacket pocket where he could get his sweet tooth satisfied once more. Her bear grabbed his snack and slowly walked over to her sitting down and wrapping himself in the blanket Sarah had used herself the night before.
She ran fingers through his soft messy curls as he nibbled on the Jellybabies quietly. He was still so sleepy and warm to her touch she couldn't help but want to hold him closer.
