Kate rolled over on the side of the bed. "Good morning, sleepyhead." Rick said. "I'm so happy this isn't a dream." She said, after he kissed her cheek. "Thank you for giving me a second chance and forgiving me." "Of course Kate, I love you so much." They cuddled. "I've missed this so much; you holding me in your arms." "I've missed this too and this is how it's going to be for the rest of our lives." Rick said, letting go of her and got off the bed. He reached into one of his drawers and pulled out her old engagement ring. Kate saw him do this. She couldn't believe he still had the ring and started crying tears of joy. She then went over to where he was standing. "Kate, will you marry me? I can't imagine living my life without you. I did it for 4 years and I never want to again. You're the love of my life." "Yes, Rick I will marry you." He put the ring on her finger and then she pulled him in for a long, slow, passionate kiss. "Now let's go make our little girl breakfast." "Sounds good to me."

They heard little footsteps walking into the kitchen. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYSS!" "Thank you mommy and daddy. What's for breakfast?" "Your favorite, just for your birthday, honey. Daddy is making blueberry pancakes." Kate said, as Rick flipped a pancake on the griddle. She sat her down at the table and put a plate of pancakes in front of her with a cup of orange juice. "Want some syrup and butter?" "Yes please, mommy." Kate put butter and then poured syrup on her pancakes and cut them into little pieces for her. Rick made Kate her favorite coffee late and made it in the shape of a heart. "Mhmm, it's just a good as I can remember." She said after taking a sip of her coffee. "Lyss, we have something to tell you." Kate said after her and Rick sat down at the table. "Mommy and I are getting married." Rick said to the little girl. Alyssa was so happy and started dancing around the room, shouting "mommy and daddy are getting married." "Okay Lyss, you have to finish your breakfast and then we're all going to go to the park." Kate said.

Alyssa had to take her nap before they left to go to the park. "Kate, while alyssa takes a nap, maybe we can too." He said, winking at her. "Ohhh I like the way you think." She said kissing him passionately. After a few "naps", Kate said "we should get dressed, alyssa is going to wake up soon." "Okay sweetheart." Rick replied. After they were dressed, they went into Alyssa's room. Kate was right, she was already awake on her bed playing with one of her dolls. "Ready to go, sweetie?" She nodded and Kate picked her up.
