Chapter Seventeen

"Have you been asked yet?" I ask Hermione as I walk to the library with her. "Actually, yes." Her face turns bright pink. "Oh, really?" I question as I give her my all time famous sly grin. "Don't give me that look!" She whispers, rather loudly. We had just entered the library and are already being shooshed. "Well, who is he?" I ask. "I'm not telling, but I have to go help Harry study." She waves goodbye and leaves. I frowned slightly, she asked if I wanted to walk with her to the library, and now I'm being ditched at the library. I take a look around and shudder, I hate libraries. I always get lost no matter how small the library is. I'd much rather have a small amount of books than an entire room of them. "Why the frown, Granger?" I glance up, finding Malfoy staring at me with a look of disgust. "Why the face, Malfoy?" I spit back. I walk out of the library, only to find that he was following me. It was weird seeing him without the goons following him, but it also made me cautious. "What do you want?" I ask him. Nobody was around, leaving only the sound of our feet echoing softly in the hall corridor. "Are you related to that...that..." He trails off making a face of disgust. "Hermione?" I ask him. He doesn't answer and when I look at his face I could see he was curious. "I am not sure. Maybe, her mother never owled her back which is suspicious." I tell him. "That's too bad." He tells me. I glance at him confused and before I know it im shoved against the wall. "Watch her back, you here? That mudblood has enemies." He whispers so quietly that I almost couldn't hear. He is ripped off me and I see Fred standing there. Draco runs off and Fred looks at me. "Did he hurt you?" He asks. I didn't answer and he repeats it louder. "N-No!" I exclaim and pull away from him. "Gosh, you scared the hell out of me." He breathes. "Me? You ripped him away. We were talking." I glare at him. "That didn't look like talking." He points out. "He seemed to be...warning me..." I tell him, confused.
