*Kane's POV*
I'm walking to my car when I hear some old man grumbling about some girl who rejected him. Honestly, any girl would. He is about...45? Maybe older, I don't know. I hear a ping and think it's my phone, so I check it. Nope. Not mine. I see him take his phone out and hear him start laughing. Like what the hell? How creepy.
"Hey, kid!" He screams to me, I think.
I turn around and say, "Yes?" I cringe at the way he looks. All dirty and gross.
"I heard that you're dating some girl who is in a gang?" He says.
"Um, no sir, that was a lie, I just didn't like that cheerleader. Kali, I hate her." I say chuckling a little bit.
"Something must be wrong with you. That cheerleader, I would bang. Anyways, since you aren't dating her, and hate her, want to do a job for me?" He says.
Disgusting! "One, you're such a horny man, that's gross. Two, how do you know Kali? What do you mean? And three, it depends on what it is." I say to him.
"My boss sent some men after her, and I have to go either kill her of convince her to join again, I don't want too. But beware, if you help them even a little bit, they will force you to join!" He tells me. My heart dropped, I know Kali hates me, but I actually, really like her. Not like I've liked other girls. I really care about her
"Yes sir, I'll do it." I say, worried for Kali. Yes, I do hate her, but I also think she is worth saving . I turn around and run to my car.
"Wait! The place where you have to get her is in that alley, around the corner store on Redd Road." The man screams.
I didn't answer, but I sped all the way over there, obviously stopping at red lights.
Eventually I make my way over and stop at the front of the corner store. I walk around the corner and before I can ever turn into the alley, I hear three gun shots. I freeze and take cover not wanting to die. Soon I peek out, looking into the dim alley. I sees man with a gun, and the rest I can't see because of the stupid dumpsters. Then I see that same man get in a car, and leave. Once he's left, I run to the alley and see 4 men.
I look over to a lifeless body to see a man. The next body is another man, and the next is Kali.
I run over to her and shake her. Seeing no reaction from her, except her bleeding. I take my phone out and call 911.
"911, What's your emergency?" The dispatcher says.
"Hi, someone has been shot!" I scream out.
"Okay, where is your location?" she asks little bit more urgent.
"It's um, Redd Road. Please hurry!" I say. Although I can care less for Kali, I don't think she should die.
"An ambulance and squad car is on its way to you. Sir, do you know who that is?" She says.
"Yes, it's Kali Black." I say.
"Okay sir, I nee you to take care of Kali. Put pressure on the wounds. Make sure that you are putting a lot f pressure of she doesn't bleed out." She says. Honestly, me thinking about Kali bleeding out, makes me regret ever being mean to her.
The dispatcher hangs up after giving me further instructions. So I do what anybody would do, see if shes still alive. "Kali! Kali wake up!" I say slightly hitting her cheek. I take my shirt off and wrap it around stomach, tying it on top of the highest bullet hole. I keep my hands on the other wounded areas. "Kali! Please!" I never really knew that I liked he this much. I liked her so I was always mean so she wouldn't find out. Its like, the first time I saw her, I hated her for being, but loved that she didn't take any crap. I said I hated her because of Alec.
