A New Start

What I miss babe?

Vanessa's POV

"Vane!" I hear my mom calling me by my nick name from downstairs.

"Yeah?" I yell back from my room, not wanting to get up. But of course like she always, she doesn't answer and I have to go all the way down stairs to see what she wants. So thats exactly what I do. Making my way downstairs and to the kitchen, only to see my mom packing the last bit of things.

"Did you finish putting all the things you're taking in boxes for tomorrow?" She asked me as soon as she saw me and i nod. "Can you ask Ana if she is done too?" My mom continues.

"Ok, ill ask her. And while she's checking her stuff I'll make sure i have everything too," I answer her and head to find my sister who was laying down upstairs in our room. "Hey, mom wants to know if you have everything packed and ready for tomorrow."

"Yeah, do you have everything ready?" She asked me.

"Yeah, I think so. The worse part about moving is packing and unpacking," I respond.

"At least it'll be a road trip," Ana says.

"Yeah, all the way across the country. I cannot believe she is making us move to a completely different timezone when I'm going into my senior year," I complain.

"I know you hate moving but look at it as a new experience, it'll be different and we'll have to adjust but maybe it'll be fun," she tries to cheer me up. "It's still summer, we'll make sure to have fun before school starts."

"Easy for you to say, you're just going to be a sophmore."

"Oh whatever, come on it's late. Lets go tell mom we're all done and get some rest. We said bye to all our friends and can still call on skype when we get there or whenever we want to," Ana finishes as she gets up and walks out the room, me following her.

"Yeah, im so tired from all the moving around. Making sure we got all our stuff and all that. We've been at it this whole day and yesterday."

After saying goodnight to our mom and dad we just laid in our beds until we fell asleep. It took me forever to fall asleep, even more than usual because of how much everything is going to change.

I woke up feeling tired as ever to an incredibly annoying alarm i forgot was set for today. I then got up and went into the bathroom, taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth. While I was finishing up I heard a couple people waking up and moving around so i rushed out so they could get in the bathroom.

When I got out of the bathroom I went back into my room and got the clothes I left out for today and put my pj's in a box with the rest of my things. Ana and I were ready and just waiting in our room for them to tell us when to put our stuff in the car. Everything else we had already shipped over and is getting shipped over so that by the time we get there, all of our stuff is there too.

Soon enough we got everything into the car and were on our way to our new home. The ride took us about two days so we had to make lots of pitstops and stayed at two hotels along the way which I was not complaining about. When we arrived at the house I thought it was nice and cosy looking, kinda big too. I'm just happy that I finally have my own room since I used to always have to share a room with my sister and don't get me wrong I love her but it's about time since im gonna be a senior.

"It's crazy how we went from New Jersey to California, I never thought this would happen," I heard Ana say as we both walked around. I nodded to show her that I heard what she said and went up the stairs. I walk around looking into all of the rooms and immediately pick the room I wanted to be in and surprisingly we agreed on which rooms we wanted so easily. I think we were just happy that the rooms were close to each other but to each their own.
