Vanessa's POV

"Can you just take me home? It's getting late and I think we should stop while we're ahead," I wait for Ana to get off and start heading down to the car.

"Yeah, sure," Crawford replied as we walked right behind us and unlocked the car as we got closer.

When we were at the car, I went to the back seat and let Ana sit in the front. "Really?" Crawford said as he got in the car and looked back at me.

"What? I wanted to sit in the back seat."

"Mmhmm," he scoffed and turned on the radio. After a while of being in the car he decided to attempt to talk to me again, "I was serious when I said I wanted to get to know you better today."

"Yea well I still don't like the way you treated Collins when all he wanted to do was give me a compliment. Jeez its not like you're my boyfriend or something," I looked out the window.

"I know I'm not. I'm sorry if I made you upset," he continued and I just nodded, not caring if he had seen me or not.

I guess the truth was that sure I could see the potential in liking this guy but at the same time he's probably been friends with Collins for a while since they've lived next door to each other for years and he's so close with Devan and I don't think they should be arguing over a girl who they hardly know at all.

We had finally arrived at our house and he let us out of the car. I was on my way in behind Ana and I felt someone grab my arm. He then turned me to him and just looked into my eyes. "Give me another chance? Please? I'll get to know you better, Collins and I are friends, we'll be fine."

"We'll see Crawford."

"Don't forget I have your cell phone number," he flashed a slight grin at me.

"Goodnight, Crawford," I tried not to smile. The idiot pissed me off but still managed to get me to crack a little. I just left it at that and ran up to the house, got in, and locked the door behind me.

As soon as I got in I saw my mom sitting in the kitchen waiting. "Where have you been?" I could hear the angry and worry mixed in her voice.

"I'm sorry mom, I must have forgotten to ask if we could go out. I didn't mean to worry you and dad," I tried to explain myself.

"How could you forget to let us know. We would've let you go but now how am I supposed to know that you won't forget next time. And what if something happened to you two, we would never know even where to start looking," her voice getting louder as she kept talking. I could feel my eyes getting watery as she glared into them, Ana was sniffling.

"It won't happen again, everything just happened so fast-" once again I was cut off.

"We were calling the both of you repeatedly. What do you have phones for if you don't answer them?" She went on yelling at us. At this point there was no point on even trying to explain, she wasn't stopping. "Go to your rooms, it'll be a while until we you two go out. Give me your phones. I can not believe this, it's the first time you two have done something like this and I am going to make sure that it doesn't happen again."

Once she was finished lecturing us we went up to our rooms and got changed after taking quick showers since we had been in the ocean.
