Dull.
They were the same hot chocolate eyes you could melt in like a marshmallow.
Not here. Not now.
Emotionless.
It's like her feelings were left out to dry. And yet, the moisture of her tears were streaming down her rosy cheeks.
Are they tears of pain? Suffering?
The answer: Unknown.
Which concludes that her expression is unreadable or unnamed.
But as Robin or Damian Al Ghul, he was familiar with it. Not saying he has enough experienced of it, but has an understanding of it.
In his perspective, everyone has at least gone through hell and back. Metaphorically, of course; unlike the literal sense to save Earth from a hellish demon known as Trigon.
Anyway, pain and suffering hurts, at least in Damian's understanding. He had witnessed his older cloned self claim to suffer without a soul. Without memories. Without the feeling of love and being loved in return. But his mother, Talia Al Ghul, put him out of his misery and shot him right in the head.
How could a mother kill her son?
Sadly, no soul had it coming. And Talia Al Ghul wasn't going to waste her time on another mere attempt of perfection. Damian's clone was far too flawed with imperfections and emotions.
So does it also mean that Damian Wayne Al Ghul, created to be the perfect weapon/soldier, is flawed?
The answer: Unknown.
Then how did someone broken and innocent end up on the opposite end of his blade?
No one should be, especially if they are a chaild.
Dullness.
Just enough of nothingness to let his guard falter.
Big mistake.
Next thing he or anyone knew, the sly fox only appeared as an innocent girl.
Swiftly, she kicked the guard part of Robin's weapon causing the handle to hit him in the gut area. With boy wonder's weapon still in his hand, she then kicked it by the side to knock Raven off her balance as Myelin managed to flip Robin onto his backside.
Her grip tightened onto the boy wonder's katana once after she had hands onto his signature weapon. From the corner of her eyes, she could see Blue Beetle and Beast Boy charging towards her. Blue's armor had shift into its beetle like wings and blades as the changeling transformed into a cheetah.
Unexpectedly, Myelin started charging towards them as well. On her way, she picked up her bloody blade from the snow and ran up the brick wall to get an adequate amount of moment to have an aerial advantage over the Blue Beetle.
She had succeeded. Their blades collided one after the another as they began to wrestle on who will cushion onto the snow fleece alleyway first.
As team leader, she could only watch as the Titans fight against their biggest betrayal yet. No one knew of Myelin's true intentions and Starfire could only feel guilty as team leader to not knowing enough of someone, just like when Damian first became apart of the Titans. She had allowed this person to infiltrate and endanger her team.
A naive space alien had easily given her trust and protection, only to lead in self-destruction.
The fiery red headed alien princess switched her focus to the scene in front of her as if everything was moving in slow motion. Raven helping Robin onto his feet as he held his lower abdomen, Beetle and Myelin crossed blades, Beast Boy shapeshifting into a gorilla ready to capture the falling girl, and lastly, Terra with eyes shut from the burning of physical pain.
Starfire snapped back into reality when the sound of metal finally hit the ground.
Both katanas were on the concrete while the user of the weapons had fallen into the green gorilla's hold. Struggling, Beast Boy tried to keep the captive still and tried not crush her bones at the same time.
"Beast Boy hold her still!" Beetle shouted as his wings retracted to the scarab.
The gorilla glared at the blue armored team member and tightened his grip a little more on the girl for a few minutes. That was until her body stopped moving.
Beast Boy panicky dropped her lifeless body and shape shifted into his human form.
"Oh no!" The changeling pulled on his hair. "That was probably too much pressure on her bones. O-or maybe I suffocated her for too long. I not a m-murderer! I didn't mean it!" Beast Boy's voice cracks at fear of life being controlled by his hands.
With the perfect opportunity, a round house kick was given to the unstable teen and scarab hero. Myelin then jumped onto the large dumpster bin and began climbing up the fire escapes of the apartment building.
The scarab on Jaime's back was about to eliminate the vermin, before her plan could carry further, by using its plasma cannon, but a green star bolt stopped it from firing.
"This battle is over." The team leader states carrying the injured blonde in her arms. "Is everyone alright?"
"I don't know how I feel anymore." Beast Boy answered as Blue Beetle pats his shoulders.
"Myelin's a kitsune. She is one of them." Raven begins. "But I couldn't quite understand her soul. So I shook off any suspicion towards her. I'm sorry for not telling any of you guys sooner." The half human, half demon apologizes.
"It's not you." Beast Boy speaks up. "If I wasn't so focused on having Terra join the team, I wouldn't let my guard down."
"I have also have a confession to make." Blue Beetle says as the scarab behind him flashes red. "Scarab has detected high frequencies from an 'out of range source' since we meet Myelin and Sienna."
"No. It's my fault." Their leader takes the blame. "I'm your leader. I should have known better. You all trusted me and I unknowingly gave permission to our inflator. Now she knows our secrets and how to use them against us."
"None of you are at fault." Robin says straightening his posture. "This was unexpected. A new experience for all of us. Blaming ourselves won't make us a better team, only learning from our mistakes will."
"Although it was inspiring and all," Blue Beetle trails off.
"But aren't you all high and mighty on your horse?" Raven finishes Beetle's sentence.
"What are you talking about?" Robin demands more than asks.
"Well," Beast Boy stretches the word. "Don't you have anything to say about your mistakes on this mission? Or-"
"Garfield." The first redhead says sharply.
"What? He can't be 'Mr. Perfect' throughout this mission." The changeling complains.
"My mistake..." The boy wonder sighed in defeat. "Was being apart this team."
