My eyes are starting to get used to the darkness. I see the light which may be my only way out. It's a little bit far but I think I'll reach it.
I stand up and walk, getting close to the light. I only realize where the light comes from when I'm in front of it.
A zip. Seriously a zip? What the hell is a zip doing on the roof of the school? It looks pretty old and clearly not safe. But I can't help it, I'm very curious.
I grab my bag and put my hands on the zip. I'm not sure about this... In fact, I'm scared. Wait no, I've just had the most crazy and silly day ever. Is this going to hurt me? No way. I guess I'll have to try and...
"Are you nuts?" A male voice behind me interrupts my thoughts. I jump in surprise, my feet slips and I feel like I'm about to fall. The zip breaks. I feel something crash against my leg. That's it. I'm dying today, what did I do to deserve this?
I'm about to fall when someone grabs my arm and pulls me up.
"That zip has at least a hundred years! Are you crazy?" A worried voice comes from my mysterious savior.
"Uh... I didn't know... I—" I stand up and turn to see his face although I only see a silhouette in the middle of darkness.
"Are you okay?" He asks interrupting me.
"Uh, yeah I guess..." I answer.
"Are you sure?"
"Uh..." Suddenly I feel something on my left leg. Pain. I pass my hand over my knee and feel the blood running through my fingers.
"Hey, you should take a look on your leg," He says, "Anyways what were you doing up here?"
"Me? The question here is what are you doing here," I say. I don't know who he is but he shouldn't be at the roof of my school.
"Me? Honey this is my house."
What? His house? Who is this guy? Why is everything so upside down today? This must be some kind of joke. Pain interrupts my thoughts.
"Listen, I don't care if this is a school, a house or Obama's roof, I've just had the most silly day ever," I take a deep breath and start walking on his direction. When I'm in front of him I add, "Could you please, for the love of God, get me out of this roof?"
"Ok ok alright, slow down. We'll take the zip." He says laughing.
"The broken one?" I ask, is this guy stupid or something?
Slow down Laus. Keep calm.
"No idiot, the other one." He starts walking, I follow him.
I think I'm starting to hate him.
Relax, he'd just saved your life.
Yeah but that doesn't mean he isn't an asshole.
"Ladies first." He says pointing at a brand new zip.
"Where does it end?" I ask.
"Find it out by yourself." He says.
