When the alarm goes off, the first thing that comes to my mind is piano. I have to study a lot today. At home I can't study because of Charlie having guitar class so I'll stay at school until 8 pm or so.
I get out of bed, put on my boring uniform and go to the kitchen to get some breakfast.
Kelly is in the kitchen, talking with my mom.
"Hey! Good morning sloth," Kelly says.
"Hey Kelly, good morning mom," I say hoarsely.
"Good morning, Laus. Did you get your piano books?" My mom asks.
"Of course! How would I ever forget them?" I answer. I didn't get them but I will, after breakfast.
Breakfast is sacred.
"Are you ready to go?" Kelly asks.
"Whoa, wait. You know breakfast is sacred for me so no, I'm not ready," I say while peeling an orange.
"Ok, I give you 5 minutes. We'll be late!" Kelly complains.
"Girls, I'm leaving. Don't be late!" My mom's got to go work so she's leaving.
"Bye!" Kelly and I say at the same time.
When my mom gets out of the house, Kelly and I start talking about summer as usual, only 4 days and it's over!
"... That's why I'm earning money," she finishes the sentence.
I'm interested in that. My father will soon lose his job and I want to help him.
"I wanna save money too! How are you going to earn all that money?" I ask.
"I'll be selling old stuff in front of my house. Rob's gonna help me," she explains.
"Cool... and when is that?" I ask. I really want to help my father.
"Tomorrow. Do you want to come?" Kelly asks.
Crap. Piano exam.
"What time?"
"From 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm."
Great. My piano exam starts at exactly the same time.
"We should leave, we have class with Miss Emi." Kelly's now looking down at her watch.
"Of course." I say while cleaning the table and grabbing my bag. "Where are you going to be selling tomorrow?"
"In front of my house. Are you coming?" She asks.
"I have my piano test, but I'll try to get there as soon as possible. I'll bring my old clothes and stuff." I hope to arrive on time.
"Great! Let's go!" Kelly grabs her bag and walks to the door.
I grab my stuff and walk outside.

"Does anybody know what happened on April 30th, 1948??" Miss Lina asks.
We are at history class. Our teacher Miss Lina normally asks questions about things we learnt the day before at every class. Now that there are only 4 days left, she's making questions about what we've studied on this school year.
I look at the class. There's no answer.
"I know who knows the answer Miss," Claire is behind me. "Laus has studied a lot, she told me but she's shy and she won't raise her hand."
Liar. I don't remember the answer and she knows it.
She's such a b****.
"That's great Claire! Laus, can you please explain to the class what happened on April 30th, 1948?"
"Uhh..." I start looking for some help. I look at Madison's direction. Crap, she fell asleep. Savanah's in front of the window. I glance at her but she only makes me know she forgot her history book at home.
"Laus?" Miss Mary is looking on Savanah's direction. "Is there anything on the window?" she asks.
"No, well yes... I saw a bee and... I'm allergic so..." I say quickly looking for Kelly. When she catches my eye, she gestures me something... I think she's saying...
"The American Stays Organization is established." I say quickly.
Immediately the class starts laughing. I blush, what did I say?
"Excuse me? Could you repeat that please?" Miss Mary is looking at me as if she heard something wrong.
"I... Well... I said that the American Slaves Organization was established but..." What is so funny??
"Did you say slaves?" Miss Mary is looking at me in disbelief.
"Uh... yeah, well no. I mean..." What did I do?
"The answer is The American States Organization." She's looking at me disapprovingly.
"Laus please, it was obvious. It's like... Do you even know what brains are for?" Claire grins.
"Ladies please. Next question..." Miss Lina continues making questions and Claire keeps making my day.
Seriously. I don't know what's wrong with her. What did I do to deserve this?

Riiiiiiiiiiiing!
"Laus! Let's go!" Madison shouts. Everyone's getting their stuff, talking about how amazing their summer will be and that there are only 3 days left so I can't hear her unless she shouts.
16:30, Tuesday, we have soccer practice.
I grab my bag and join Madison.
When we arrive to the soccer field, coach O'Brien starts yelling, " TODAY IS OUR LAST TRAINING. IT'S GOING TO BE HARD BECAUSE AS YOU ALL KNOW WE HAVE OUR LAST SOCCER MATCH ON SATURDAY," Oh that's true and we can't lose because we are tied with that team. "YOU'LL START THE PRACTICE WITH A FRIENDLY MATCH."
Coach O'Brien is a 35-year-old woman. Her black hair is shorter than my brother's and her black eyes are like a tunnel without end. She looks a bit scary but she's not that bad.
We start playing. I'm at Madison's team, she plays as a defender and I play as a forward so we don't see each other much. She's the best forward in our soccer team and she doesn't let any ball go inside the goal and I usually score some goals so we are awesome teammates.
A whistle stops the match. We won!
"Very well girls. Now we are going to do some warm-up exercises and then you can leave," Coach O'Brien says.
When we finish, I go directly to the shower of the locker room, I don't want to practice piano like... sweating and smelling this way. Ew! I'm about to enter in the locker room when I see a note on the door that says:
"Please, don't use the showers, we have problems with the pipes,
sorry to bother you.
Thank you,
Edward W Brooke Charter School."Crap. Now I'll have to practice like this... Well, at least I'm not going to waste time taking a shower!
I say goodbye to Madison and leave. Now I have to study piano until 8:00 pm. or so. The school closes at 9:00 pm. and Miss Elisabeth told me I could stay.
I enter the class and turn on the lights. I open my bag and...
Crap.
Crap, crap, crap.
I forgot my piano books at home.
