Chapter 9: Confrontations

*Zach's POV*

After I saw Veronica get in the car with Nate I decided to follow them. I do not trust Nate at all. I followed them until they got close to Veronica's house and then out of no where decided to take a turn. I had to keep following them because like I said I don't trust Nate and Veronica is my best friend and I have to look out for her.

I saw them pull up into Di'lishi and I was debating on whether or not to go inside. I just decided on walking in.

"Zach?" Veronica said.

They were about to kiss I just saw it. Why do I feel weird about it ? I'm glad I walked in when I did.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"No! What are you doing here?" That idiot of Nate asked me.

"Look I was talking to Vero, not you!" I replied.

"Guys stop!" Veronica said.

"I'm sorry" I told her.

"Why are you here Zach" she kind of asked sadly.

"Well I saw you come in with him and I just don't trust him Veronica so I had to come check on you." I said looking at her scratching then back of my neck shyly.

*Veronica's POV*

Zach walked in, that's just great. And apparently he came to check on me. Why?!

"Look! She will always be safe with me!" Nate told him annoyed.

"Don't worry Zach, I'm fine. Thanks for checking though" I said giving him a small smile.

These guys are always arguing! I just need to know why! But it really was sweet of Zach to come check up on me.

"Shouldn't you be with my sister anyway?" Nate told him.

Sister?! I thought to myself and turned to look at Nate.

"Look you don't tell me where I should or shouldn't be" Zach said back to him.

"What a great boyfriend you are! I told her not to date someone like you!" Nate yelled.

"Someone like what? You have no right to get in her life!" Zach said back.

"The bad boy" Nate said mockingly.

Everyone always thinks say Zach isn't a good guy and he messes with girls but he actually is really sweet to the people he cares about. That's the reason I fell in love with him.

"It's clear that you listen to rumors" Zach answered back.

"I don't need to, I know the facts." Nate said.

"Look guys stop! Zach I think it would be better if you go home.. I'm fine.." I said looking at him.

"Are you sure?" He asked looking kind of upset.

"I'm sure, I'll text you later." I replied.

Zach just said okay and walked out without even acknowledging that Nate was still there. It's not like I didn't want Zach there but I think it was best if he left for this kind of situation.

"So Emily is your sister?!" I said once Zach left.

"Yea.. you know her?" Nate asked me.

"No, I just heard about her when Zach told me he was dating her." I told Nate.

"So he hasn't even presented her to ya'll?" Nate said frustrated.

"Is that the reason you and Zach don't like each other?" I asked him looking down at the melting frozen yogurt
