Prologue

"Angels are watching over you."

Third Person P.O.V.

Mary Winchester walks into the twins nursery with Dean on her hip.  "Come on, lets go say good night to your brother and sister." She quietly says as she turns on the lights.  Two cribs are side by side, one housing the older baby boy and the other the younger baby girl.  Mary sets down Dean, who leans over the older baby's crib.  "Night, Sam."  He kisses his little baby brother on the forehead.  He then walks the few steps over to his little sisters crib.  "Night, Dani."  He then kisses his little sister on the cheek as well.  Mary then steps over and kisses both of her little ones on the cheeks.  "Good night, loves.  Remember, angels are watching over you."  she whispers soothingly.

"Hey, Dean."  John Winchester walks into the room.  Dean turns around and rushes over to John as fast as possible.  "Daddy!"  He exclaims.  "Hey buddy." John scoops up his child.  "So what do you think?  You think Sammy and Dani are ready to toss around a football yet?"  John jokes.  "No Daddy."  Dean says like its obvious. "No." John laughs.  Mary starts to walk out of the room and passes John and Dean.  "You got him?" She questions.  "I got him."  John tells her as he pulls Dean closer into him.  "Sweet dreams kids."  John walks out of the room and flips of the lights as the twins watch while Sam tries to chew on his foot and Dani plays with the small charm bracelet that her mother has loosely wrapped around her daughters wrist.

Once everyone is out of the room the baseball and softball themed mobiles above the twins cribs start to spin around on their own while the twins watch.  The clock on the wall stops to tick and the nightlight starts to flicker.  Meanwhile in Mary and Johns room the lights on the baby monitor start to flicker while it makes staticy noises.  Mary roles over in bed and flicks on the light.  "John?"  No response.  She turns over again and sees that she is alone so she gets up and walks to the twins room.  She stops in front of the door and sees John's silhouette over Sam's crib.  "John?  Is he hungry?"  She asks.  "Shhhh..." John turns his head towards her.  "Alright."  She heads back down the hall and notices a flickering light.  She frowns and starts to tap it until it stops to flicker.  Her shoulders slump down in relief.  "Hm."  Another light flickers downstairs so she heads down to check it out only to find that it is a war movie that John had left on the TV and that her husband has fallen asleep watching it.  Her eyes widen as she realizes that it was not John in the nursery.  She freezes for a second until she hears a muffled crash come from the twins nursery.  She jumps into action and runs up the stairs screaming.  "Sammy!  Dani!"  She reaches the nursery but stops short once she takes one step in.

Mary screams and John falls out of the chair.  "Mary!"  He yells as he sprints up the stairs.  He bursts through the closed nursery door.  "Mary."  He quietly calls.  The room stays quiet and seems empty other than the twins awake in their cribs.  John looks around but sees no one else so he passes the scream off as a nightmare.  He pushes down Dani's crib.  "Hey Sweatheart.  Everything good?"  He then notices something gold beside her and picks it up to examine it only to find out that it is a feather.  John looks at it questioningly and then puts it back down so he can check on Sam.  Dani immediately picks it back up and plays with it, now uninterested in the silver bracelet that hangs off of her wrist.  John pulls down Sams crib next.  "You okay Sammy?"  He questions.  Something drips next to Sam and john touches it.  Two more drops of the substance land on Johns hand.  Blood?  He wonders.  He looks up only to see one of the most horrifying sights that he will ever see in his life.  His wife, Mary is sprawled out on the ceiling and the stomach of her white nightgown is covered in blood.  John starts to struggle to breath and he falls to the floor staring at his wife. 

"No Mary!"  He yells as she bursts into flames.  The fire starts to spread throughout the room.  John just stares frozen until the wails of his two youngest children remind him that he is not alone.  He gets up off of the ground, plucks the twins out of their cribs, and rushes out of the room.  Dean walks out of his room to find out what all the  comotion outside was about.  "Daddy!"  He cries as he sees the inside of the nursery.  John shoves the twins into Deans arms.  "Take your brother and sister outside as fast as you can and dont look back!  Now Dean, go!" he yells.  Dean turns around and runs out of the house with his siblings in his arms while John runs back into the twins room.  "Mary!"  He exclaims.  The entire room is now a fiery inferno and Mary can barely be seen.  "No!"  The fire starts to reach out towards him and he runs out of the house.

Outside Dean is looking up at the nursery window which is now lit up with oranges and yellows.  John runs outside and scoops up Dean and carries his children away from the house right before a fire explodes out of the nursery window.  The fire department then arrives and they start to put out the fire.  Neighbors surround the house and a police officer holds back neighbors.  However, nobody notices the small family that consists of a Widower, a four year old boy, and a pair of six month old twins.  John holds Sam and Dean is beside him on top of the Impala holding Dani close to him while curling into his dad to cry over the loss of his mother as his father silently looks up at the remnants of the fire.  Both to busy to notice the shadow that is looking over Dani.  Dani looks up at it as it reaches out and places two fingers on her forehead to sooth and heal any wounds that she gained then disappears leaving nothing behind but a single golden downy feather in the small hand of little baby Dani.
