Louis POV

"Well, here is our...my room."

Her voice is everything!

As I look around the room, I notice the furniture and matching decorations on the wall and desk.

"It's nice! Small and like home. Do you like decorating?"

"I love it! I wanna become an interior designer when I finish college. I like mix and matching colour schemes and furniture just to see how they'd look. But unfortunately, I can't really do design in India, so I'm studying Religion."

"I do too! Not the designing part, the part about Religion. I study back at home."

Obviously you do! What the fuck do you do back in England? Be a pedophile?

"Oh that's awesome! What are you studying now?" She asks enthusiastically.

"War. How religion caused wars and why it ever mattered what religion you are."

"Oh My Gosh! We're learning the same thing! We can help each other study and organize our notes! It'll be so much fun!"

She is just the most perfect girl I've met. She's me...I'm her. Annnd I'm getting all deep for no reason.

"Shit I forgot! Here put your bags down! This is your half of the room with your bed. I didn't know what you liked so I left it blank until I was able to decorate."

"Well I'm not really picky so anything with music is fine I guess."

"Great! Do you wanna take a tour of India or something else?"

"Actually, I'd like to help you decorate. This way we could bond and tour."

Melinda POV

He makes my heart melt like literally.

"Well sure! Let me just grab my bag and we'll head on out. Do you have money?" I ask.

"Umm only pounds...no rupees."

"That's okay. I have some saved up and there's also a bank near here so we can stop there as well."

"I'd rather pay with my money."

"So bank it is!" I say. I run towards the door and grab Louis' hand.

Louis POV

"So we will get some money for the week. I can help you keep a budget since it's a different currency and what not." She says as if it was her plan originally.

"You seem to be very...organized. Don't take it offensively."

"I am. I have to be. I don't like the fact that I seem controlling, but it's just a habit. Sorry if I annoy you."

You don't annoy me...if anything you make me feel comfortable.

"Nahh it's fine. I've grown used to it."

"Oh, well, tell me about you."

"What about me?"

"Anything! Life. Family. Thoughts on India."

"Well, life is okay. Can't complain. Family. Umm...I live with my mom and little brother. My father left my mom when I was about 9. I haven't talked to him since. My mom works hard; 2 jobs."

Melinda POV

Just hearing about himself is making me want to kiss him right then and there, but then I have a tiny Raj mentally abusing me about the thought.

"I also have a girlfriend, Cristine.

Ouch! Well so much for planning an entire future with him.

"Oh okay....tell me about her." I ask shyly.

"Well she's younger...18. I met her at her birthday party. My friend was going and he invited me. So I went and I saw her. She asked me out and so that's how it started. But lately she's been acting funny."

"And by funny you mean...?"

"Funny like...she's always trying to meet with me but when we do, she always has an excuse to leave me."

Why would she do such a thing?

"Well what excuses?"

"She has a meeting to go to....Her friend needs help.....Her mom needs something. Stuff like that."

"I'm sorry to break it to you, but if those are the excuses she's using, then you might as well break up with her."

"But I've been with her for a while and I know that she's --"

"No you don't love her!" I interrupt. "Okay maybe you love her but she doesn't love you. Trust me....I would know."

He seems puzzled. "What do you mean you would know?"

"I'm sort of in a similar relationship right now...."

"Oh I'm sorry. Do you want to talk about it?"

"Umm no I'm fine, let's just go shopping." I suck in the tears and continue to walk, only a little bit in front of him keeping silence.
