The next morning, Wolf was awoken by several light shakes to his shoulder and his name being whispered.

Wolf rolled over and opened his eyes, looking straight up at Andy.

"Ready for your first day of school?" Andy asked, smiling a little.

Wolf nodded.

"Alright. Get dressed and come down for breakfast. I have it ready for you."

As soon as Andy left the room, Wolf jumped up out of bed and hopped in the shower, scrubbing everything clean, hopped back out of the shower, got dressed, dried his hair and applied a bit of dark eyeshadow and eyeliner around his eyes, all in a matter of about fifteen minutes. By the time he was done, Andy was calling him from downstairs, wondering what was taking so long for him to get dressed. But when Wolf showed him that he had accomplished a series of things in that time, he realized what had taken him 'so long.'

Wolf sat at the bar, grabbing his fork and stabbing it into the omelet on his plate. He lifted the entire thing up and sank his teeth into it, ripping a piece off. Andy watched him from the kitchen, raising his eyebrows.

"Woah, Tiger. You might want to slow down a little," Andy suggested, meeting eyes with Jett.

Wolf smiled, his cheeks full of food, and swallowed. "You don't know how great it is to have real food again. This is heaven," he rambled on, taking another exceptionally large bite. "Oh, and thanks for the hair dryer," he said when he swallowed once more.

"Hair dryer? That old thing?" Andy furrowed his eyebrows. "I was about to get rid of that."

"Well, good thing you didn't," Wolf replied, taking several gulps of orange juice and stuffing a series of strawberry slices in his mouth. He looked at the time. "I'm gonna be late! It's 7:00 already!"

Jumping down from his stool and running upstairs to the bathroom to brush his teeth, Wolf shook his hair out and glanced at himself in the mirror. Wow, he thought. I hope no one makes fun of me today. New school, new people... it's gonna be a good day.

He ran out the door without even hugging Andy goodbye, leaving to get on the bus and go.

The bus experience that morning was interesting, to say the least. But it wasn't anything Wolf wasn't used to.

It was like the orphanage, but a slightly crazier, more hectic version. Wolf couldn't say he felt comfortable on the way to school, but he didn't feel the opposite, either. It was pretty much what he had expected.

Some people had given him a few looks, but none were, say... judgemental. At least Wolf thought not.

When he walked into school, he kind of just felt like he belonged there, like a normal kid. He had to remember, the kids already there were halfway through the year. Wolf was just a little late to the party.

In the hallways it was warm, everyone around him still donning their thick coats and hats. It was February, a cold month, but despite what time of year it was, Ohio was most of the time cold anyway. The time of year didn't matter much.

Wolf got to the locker he was assigned to, at the end of a row and over top of a girl's whom Wolf didn't remember the name of, and hadn't even seen her face yet. He didn't know who he was next to; they hadn't informed him of that. He unlocked his locker, on the first try, which he took extra pride in as he pulled his notebook out and a pencil, and stuffed his backpack in. He shut it and walked to his first class, finding it okay and sitting down at his assigned desk.
