About forty five minutes later, when Scout finally was able to sign in and find Andy's hospital room, her eyes were red and puffy from crying, but what instantly made her feel a thousand times better was seeing the Andy's face when she walked in.

He was lying back against the pillows there in the hospital bed, an IV in his arm and eyes tired from lack of sleep. He had a hard shell wrapped around his abdomen to protect and keep his ribs in place since they had been shattered prior, but that same precious smile came across his lips when she stepped foot into the room. She broke into a smile to match his, ecstatic just to see him and know that he was okay.

She dropped her purse into the chair beside the bed and ran over to him, nearly strangling him in a huge bear hug.

Scout's heart nearly melted when she heard him laugh, and he wrapped his arms back around her tightly as well, his chin buried in the crook of her shoulder.

"Andy, I love you so much," Scout said with a sigh, squeezing him even tighter an then pulling back to press her lips against his. When she leaned back, he pulled her to him again and kissed her once more. It was a long, meaningful, well-deserved kiss, and Scout savored it so.

Immediately after, when he let go of her, Andy offered Scout a sincere, "I'm sorry," and she if course forgave him. She apologized for not being there for him. They talked it out, and Andy agreed that for the best, he needed to also get a little but of additional help with what he was feeling rather than just taking his prescribed medications.

"It was my fault," Andy admitted, closing his eyes and resting his head back in the pillows behind him, laying the back of his arm against his forehead. "I said I'd never drink again.... and it was my choice and my fault to go off the medications. I'm so sorry, Scout."

Scout kissed the side of his head, remaining close to him. "It's alright, Andy. Everything's better now. We're going to work together on this. More than we ever did before."

"Yeah." Andy met eyes with her, smiling a little, his clear blue eyes sparkling. "I love you, Scouty. Thank you for always being there for me."

Scout felt her heart swell, and she beamed. "I love you more than I can ever scream, Andrew Dennis Biersack. I'll never ever leave your side. I'll always be here with you."

Everything was better now, now that they were back home together, safe. They only had to have faith.

Now all they wanted was Dennis back home safely from tour, and Scout would make it her priority to devote her Sunday prayers to her growing teenage son.
