So that was what jealously felt like.
Scout meant more. That was something that, in time, Wolf was going to have to learn to accept.
Hadn't Andy mentioned something about dating Scout for a long six years in a row or something like that? That was an insanely long time to be dating someone. Why weren't they married yet?
Wolf had a lot to think about. Especially since it was the middle of the night on a school night and he was still awake.
He'd just have to see what it was like and how tired he was in the morning...

When Wolf rolled over in the morning and realized what time it was, he shot up out of bed, throwing his covers in the air behind him.
It was time to get a shower, get dressed, blow dry and straighten his hair faster than ever.
But what slowed him as he was getting ready was the faint voice of his biological father in his head.
"Dennis Wolfgang Kelter, you'd better get your rear end down here for school before I hit you harder than ever!"
"I'm gonna cane you with my belt!"
"If you don't continue to believe in The Lord, you'll be damned."
"Watch and see what happens when you miss church on a Sunday. You're going to hell!"
Threats. All threats. That's all his father ever spoke to him. And the last one was one time when Wolf was missing church because he was up all night the night before, sick.
Wolf hoped Andy would never be like that, despite the influence of any.
But, he knew that, deep inside, no one would ever be as strict as his father before.
