Chapter 12 (Edited)

Alex:

I laid there, holding Hailey while she slept. I can't believe she went through all of that for 2 years. The more she told me, the more I wanted to beat the hell out of this kid. I know who it was, too. Ricky. He's the biggest fucking douche bag you'll ever meet.

I felt her move in my arms and looked down to see her beautiful eyes flutter open.

"Good morning baby girl." I said gently, smiling down at her. I leaned down and kissed her lips. She smiled and cuddled into me, more. I smiled.

"Baby we need to clean up the house before tomorrow." I said to her, softly. She sighed.

"I know." She moved and wiggled herself out of my grip. She stood up and looked around.

"Let's go ahead and start." She said, reaching out for my hand. I grabbed it and she acted like she was going to pull me up. I stood up and we walked to the living room. I turned on the radio and it started to play Makin My Way To You by Cole Swindell. She busted out, singing along to it. She started to pick up plastic cups and plates, throwing them in a garbage bag, dancing to the music. I started to fold all of the blankets and laid them on the couch. She was dancing, twirling and singing along to the music and she looked so happy and so beautiful. I just stood there, watching her, smiling.

"What are you staring at?" She said, giggling.

"My beautiful girlfriend." I said, winking at her. I grabbed her by her waist and pulled her into me, kissing her. It was perfect.

The song changed and started to play John Michael Montgomery's song I Can Love You Like That. It was a slow song.

"May I have this dance, my lady?" I said, holding out my hand to her. She giggled and took it, laying her hand on my shoulder and my other hand was on her waist. I pulled her close to me and we stood there, dancing in the middle of the messy kitchen. Eventually her hands ended up wrapped around my neck while mine was laying on her waist. Her head was on my shoulder and I had mine laying lightly on her head. After the song had ended I kissed her again. If I could stop time, I would've stopped it then and just kept it there. The moment was so perfect. She's perfect. We finished picking everything up and started on the dishes. After getting those done it was already 5 pm. We ordered some pizza and sat down on the couch and watched Deadpool.

About half way through the movie, Hailey paused it and looked at me.

"We need to talk." Oh god, the last time i heard those 4 words, my ex broke up with me.

"No, I'm not breaking up with you." Thank god.

"Neither of our parents know we're together..How are we going to tell them?" She looked at me, confused.

"I've thought about it, too. What if we just come straight out and tell them? Like tomorrow night at dinner? Since we'll all be together. We could do it in public too, so they can't really make a scene, if they choose to."

"Okay. So we have to make it look like we aren't together tomorrow until dinner, right?" She looked at me with sad eyes.

"Unfortunately, yes." I looked at her and kissed her.

"It'll be okay baby. Lets go to bed, yeah?" She nodded and sat her plate down. She went to get up but I was quicker and picked her up bridal style, causing her let out a loud laugh. I ran upstairs with her in my arms and decided to go to my room tonight. I went to my dresser and grabbed some shorts and a shirt for her to wear. I tossed them to her and she undressed and put them on and laid back down.

We were cuddled on my bed and she was really sleepy when I heard her mumble, "I love you, Alex."

Author's Note: Soo another cliffhanger. hehe. i hope you guys enjoyed!!I won't be able to update tomorrow and if i do, it'll be late because my family is all going to be together for the 4th of July!!
