'Ding' my phone rang, waking me up from my slumber. I groaned and grabbed my phone, looking at the lock screen.

'Good morning beautiful -Jack'

I smiled, unlocking my phone and typed back.

'Good morning :) -Claire'

He replied immediately.

'Are you busy today? :) -Jack

'Nope, just got some unpacking to do

-Claire'

'Can I help? -Jack'

I smiled again. He really knows how to make a girl smile.

'Yeah sure! That'd be great -Claire'

After that I sent him my hotel address, room number and floor.

He was over in 15 minutes.

'Knock knock' Oh crap, I didn't get dressed yet but he's already here. I sighed and got out of bed walking towards the door in yesterday's clothes. I opened the door and was surprised by Jack with a bunch of flowers. Light pinks and yellows were wrapped in a red satin bow. "I thought you might want a house warming gift." How did he know I just moved in? "How did you know?" He handed it to me. "Well, you did say you were unpacking stuff." He laughed to himself. I took the bouquet, thanking him and took a little sniff. They smelt amazing. I let Jack into my apartment, opening the door wider and stepping to the side. I walked over to a box labeled 'Kitchen Utensils' and grabbed a glass. I filled it with water from the kitchen sink and placed the flowers in. I then placed the flowers on the island/table and joined Jack back in the living room.

"So how are you?" he asked, smiling.

"I'm good, just needing a nice shower and a change of clothes," I say, running my fingers through my tangled hair.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine." His voice was bland and I wasn't expecting that from a guy like him. "Cool, well, I'm gonna take a shower and you can start unpacking. The boxes are labeled so there shouldn't be any problems. If you want anything to eat then you are more than welcome to look in the fridge." I say while pointing to the kitchen. "Just don't touch my frozen pizza," I say in a serious joking tone and glared at him, trying not to burst out in a fit of laughter. We ended up laughing anyways. I walked to the separate washroom that didn't connect to 2 bedrooms together.

I grabbed some clothes out of a box and I shut the door and locked it. I put my clothes and towel on the marble counter top, undressed, and stepped into the shower.

After I got clean and dressed I decided to start unpacking since there were a lot of boxes surrounding my living room. I walked towards Jack who was carrying a box labeled 'Art supplies'.

I wasn't a great artist but I loved to paint. "Do you want any help?" I asked leaning against the door frame, casually. I guess I startled him since he jumped a bit. "Yes, please, considering these are your things and this is your home." He answered and we started unpacking everything.
