You thrummed your fingers against the countertop, your chin resting on your other hand. Your friends had asked you to go to the bar with them, and seeing as you don't drink, you offered to be their transportation. Lifting your head, you watched as your two friends walked off with strangers, presumably to go dance no matter how drunk they were. You couldn't help but chuckle as you watched everyone trip over themselves, obviously more than just tipsy. You listened to the music coming from the band in the corner, tapping your fingers to the beat of the drums. The sound vibrated through the chair and up your spine, the strange sensation making you smile.Your friend Alli stumbles over, nearly falling out of her seat as she tries to sit down. "Hey," she slurs, "did you see that, hot, drummer with the band?"

You shake your head. "No, but I can hear him playing."

Alli hiccups before giving you a lopsided grin. "You should go hang out with him, but I heard that something is wrong with him."

Sighing, you catch Alli as she almost falls out of her seat again. "Al, I came here so I could drive you and Felicity home, I didn't come to hookup with people."

Al leans to the side and laughs. "Oh come! Live a little!"

Glaring, you cross your arms tightly across your stomach. "Alli, I'm not just gonna ditch you guys!"

"I'll call an uber or something, just go!"

You slide off of your stool and straighten your t-shirt, not looking to attract attention. "Fine. What does he look like?"

"Green hair," she slumped in her seat as she hiccuped again. "Can't miss him."

Sighing, you step away from the bar and begin to push through the crowd, narrowly avoiding being pulled into dances with people.

You finally made it to the corner of the room, letting out a sigh of relief that you had made it. The band had just finished playing, and a man with red hair stepped up to the microphone. "Thank you everybody so much for coming out to hear us play, we are Erasing Dotted Lines, and we will see you next time, buh-bye!"

You watched as the two men began to pack up their instruments, one of them being the green-haired drummer. After a few more seconds of watching, you finally mustered enough courage to step onto the stage and approached the drummer. Your eyes connected with his shimmering blue ones, and you immediately regretted giving in to Alli. You give him a nervous wave and he gives a small wave back, never saying a word. You then hold out your hand to him and say, "I'm Y/n, you?"

He shakes your hand, but he then points to his ear and shakes his head sadly. Your eyes widen and you nod, realizing that he's deaf. You mouth sorry and start to turn away, until he waves his arms around frantically. You look back at him and watch as he pulls a marker out of his pocket and gestures to his arm. You pull out your phone and point to it, wondering if he was asking for your number. He nods happily and holds out the pen to you. You blush and nod before quickly writing down your number on his arm. He nods and pulls out his phone, typing something. You feel your phone buzz in your hand, and you look to see an unknown number. "Did you hide the body?"

Laughing you send him a text. "Don't worry about it. I know what I'm doing."

He looks down at his phone and grins upon seeing the message. "Sorry for the difficulties," he texts. "I'm Jack. You?"

"Don't worry about it, I'm Y/n."

Jack smiles and nods. "I didn't see you in the crowd, which is weird because I would've remembered a beautiful face like yours."

You blush furiously, forcing you fingers to cooperate as you type. "I was at the bar, waiting for some people."

"Not much of a drinker?"

"No, I just came to make sure my friends get home in one piece. But I did enjoy hearing you play, you're amazing!"

Now it was Jack's turn to blush. "Thanks, I'm glad you liked it."

You smile and nod. "Sorry, but I should go. My friends are probably looking for me."

He nods sadly. "Will you come back again sometime? I wanna "talk" with you face to face."

You grin and nod. "Of course! I'll see you later Jack."

"See ya!"

With that, you waved goodbye and left in search of Alli and Felicity. You found them back at the bar, both of them grinning like idiots. "So," Felicity smirked, "who was that handsome devil?"

You growled. "Jack, he was playing the drums."

Alli grinned. "And?"

You slapped your hand against your forehead, feeling your cheeks burn again. "He asked for my number?"

"And?" Felicity purred.

"I... I gave it to him."

The two girls jumped up and down and squealed, obviously excited. "Oh my gosh! Y/n has a boyfriend!"

You grabbed Alli's wrist, trusting that Felicity you follow you out. "He's not my boyfriend! We just met!"

Felicity laughed in a devilish tone as she swayed her hips. "We'll just have to wait and see."

"What does that mean?" you snapped.

Felicity walked a few paces ahead of you before turning and winking at you. "You know, Y/n dearest."

You growled at Felicity's short answer and continued to follow her to your car, wanting to get away from this crazy scene as fast as possible.
