i want no more of this

so here i am, standing with Jade looking down at one of the closest things i ever had to a best friend. Dead and lifeless, tears start to fill my eyes as i look at her, lifeless in a pool of her own blood "Guys whats going on?" i hear Sky call from behind, we both turn to see him and he sees our tears and runs to me, putting me into a hug "what happ-" before he could finish he sees ruby "oh I'm so sorry" he whispers to me as more tears stream down my face, pretty soon Deadlox runs up to us, he sees his girlfriend and fall sto his knes, he grabs her sickly pale hand and weeps, i walk up to him and put my hand on his shoulder "I will never see her beautiful smile again, i will never hear her-her sweet comforting voice, i will never have her back" he says faintly in complete shock and more tears flow down his cheeks "I know what she was to you Deadlox" Sky says looking at him in his red puffy eyes, that had been drenched in tears "I just wish this stupid war was over, its been more then 10 years, to many lives have been ruined, why cant we just end this" he sobs still gripping onto his lost girl friends hand tightly "Come on Deadlox, we better get back to base" I say helping him up. as we walk back I comfort Jade while sky comforts Deadlox, i have one arm around her, her face is buried in my neck and she is crying "Im sorry jade, i really am" i say as i move my hand up and down her arm "I had to watch, i saw my best friend get killed, and i couldn't help" she cries into my arm "Its ok Jade, its ok" i whisper as we walk into base "Should i resign Corrie, should i leave the army" she asks me "Thats completely your choice, But you shouldn't make any plans while you are like this ok?" i reply

when we get to base we go straight to our room and skip going to get food Jade sits on her bed and is ti on mine, we stair at ruby bed that is in the middle of the room, it was in complete silence until jade looks up to me "Corrie?" she starts, i look up to her "I want no more of this, I'm leaving the army" she finishes looking at me "are you sure?" i say quietly, she nods "Im leaving tonight, nobody can know i am going, i have my reasons" she says faintly "I respect that Jade, if i saw my best friend die in front of me, i would want to run away, i would want to even run away and never talk to another person again, just remember you can alway come back" i say as she grabs her bag "goodbye corrie" she says opening the window "Goodbye" i say then she disappears into the darkness of the night.

"Corrie are you alright" i hear sky call from behind the door, I walk over and open it "hey" i say faintly, trying to hold back tears, i have lost both my best friends in one day. no I'm not ok, But he cant know or he will worry "Im ok sweetie" i say giving him a hug "how is deadlox getting on?" i ask him "Not so well, he left th base and is staying with some frinds, where is Jade?" he asks "i dont know"
