Chapter 2: Raven

After hanging up, Raven decided to go downstairs and eat Nutella. She was home on her own now. Her mom and dad were on their anniversary trip to Florida and her sister was in a containment unit in DC.

While she was heading downstairs she pulled out her phone and tried calling the number that Ivy had texted her.

"Hello?" a voice answered.

"Hello, is this Terra Garfield?"

"This is her mother," the voice replied, "Why?"

"It's Raven Chen, I'm a friend of Terra."

"Ah yes, Terra told me about you."

"Can I talk to her?" Raven asked.

"Call back in about five minutes, she's watering our garden."

"Ok."

Raven hung up and started eating the Nutella straight from the jar.

Five minutes and four scoops of Nutella later, Raven called again.

"Is this Raven?" she heard.

"Yeah," Raven answered.

"Hi, it's Terra,"

"Hi, Terra. Do you still remember that thing in eighth grade?"

"You mean the aliens thing?"

"Yeah," Raven answered.

"About that . . . Ok, so you know the thing with the violet fog and virus thing?"

"Yes."

"It's from the aliens that we know."

"That's believable."

"I told Ivy to get Isaac and Caiden."

"Ivy Grayson?" Terra asked.

"Yeah."

"Ok. . ."

"My sister's been infected and stuff, could you come over for a planning meeting, like... tomorrow or Monday? Unless you have camps or anything."

"I can come over on either one, I was suppose to be a CIT, but because of the virus, it was canceled," Terra answered.

"Cool beans, you got to be a counselor?"

"Yeah."

"Where do you live again?" Terra asked.

"You know Kayla?"

"Yeah."

"It's by her house."

"Like around that guy with the annoying sister?"

"Harper? Do you mean him? Yeah, around there."

"Okay, I'll just ask around the neighbourhood."

"That'll work," Raven said.

"Anyway, I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, tomorrow."

"I need to find Grant but could you do that?"

"I could do that,"

"Ok, thanks"

"Laters!" Terra said.

Terra hung up.

Raven continued eating Nutella.
