The Guardian of The Forest

Cerberus aka Cerb trotted happily alongside Nate as he walked. It was a lovely day out and everything had been fine. That was until Cerb smelled something. It smelled like another animal. Carnivorous. Dangerous. He growled to warn Nate something bad was nearby. Nate gave him a confused look but ushered him to keep moving and he reluctantly did so.
     They kept walking into a forest, Nate claiming it was a shortcut. This shortcut had some people living in it that Nate had no idea about though. Nate took one innocent step then was suddenly hoisted up into the air by his foot. He screamed as he was caught in the trap and Cerb started barking.
     A man in a blood red cloak approached them. His face couldn't be seen but he looked tall and strong. Very strong.
"Who are you?" The person demanded to know, in a deep, terrifying voice.
"I-I'm Nathan Sharp, a simple traveler who means no harm..!" Nate said quickly. The person was silent for a few seconds. Cerb growled.
"U-um, can you please let me down?" Nate asked, "this is rather uncomfortable what with the blood rushing to my head and all."
     The person took out a dagger and cut the rope holding Nate up in one slice. Nate landed on the forest floor with a thud and Cerb immediately licked his face. Nate laughed slightly, pushing Cerb off him and standing up.
"You know who I am, so who are you?" He asked. The person took off the hood and Nate was slightly shocked.
     Part of his hair was red and his irises were blood red as well. His canines where unusually sharp and big and the tips of his ears were pointed. He had large horns atop his head and his skin also had a slight gray tint to it.
"Call me Mark." He said, "I am the demon that guards this forest for there are things which innocent people and people with bad intentions alike should not get ahold of."
