As you can see from the table above, statistics show that I started off listening to oldies, then went more mainstream, and suddenly at 14 I fell into this deep dark hole of alternative songs. Pay attention to the colours, and you can see that subconsciously I'm turning more and more emo and I finally reached that stage at 14. So being 14 turned my life around in terms of thinking and musically.
I typed this 'table' out because I just want to say: I'm so emo now. Help. Me. Like I'm listening to alternative music 24/7 and I'm searching everything about Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy and The Brobecks and the emo quartet and the emo trinity and whatever pops up, I almost instantly get the reference. For example, a post said that you can determine if a person is truly emo by typing the word 'MILKY WAY' and if he/she double checks it, you can probably tell he/she is emo. And like I get that joke instantly and most of the people who read this don't, so that means that I'm really emo.
It's not that I don't like being part of this emo family, just that I can't relate to anyone who is a close friend, cause no one's actually REALLY into the music genre I'm listening to now. But the thing about emo music is that it's not just music, it's a whole fandom, which consists of multiple ships, a lot of video references and a SHIT TON of people. Out of the emo musicians I know, half of them are not even in my playlist, and I know them because of how much fanfictions I read.
Idk where this is going and I fell asleep midway writing this, so I'll just go.
