Naddy closed her eyes and pictured a rose, clearly seeing every detail in her mind, from the dew drops on the petals to the perfect hook on the thorns, just like Dill had told her.

 Everyone gasped.

Slowly she opened her eyes to find, hovering in front of her, a perfect rose. Except it wasn't a glossy red like she had imagined, it  was silvery white in colour, and it was shimmering.

The King and Queen were amazed and once again looking frozen. This time though Naddy turned to Dill.

"What are they doing, where are we and what's going on!?" She whispered.

"They're talking telepathically, we're in Wyrdhaven and l'll explain later."

"Wh-"

"Shush! Sorry, but we're not supposed to be talking right now. I promise l'll explain everything later."

Naddy wasn't happy but she was forced to accept it, however reluctantly.

The King and Queen unfroze and gestured to Naddy to step forward. When she did, the King spoke.

"Nadira, we believe you have a rare and special power, we believe you are a marama. If this is the case then you will begin training with our best mentor, but for now you should try to get some sleep, Dylan will explain everything. Come back tomorrow to begin training,"

They turned to leave but when they were a couple of metres from the door the Queen spoke up again, "Nadira dear, you look familiar. Are you sure this is the first time you've been to Wyrdhaven?"

Confused, Naddy said she couldn't remember ever being here before then hurried to catch up with the others.

As they walked back to Dylan's house, Naddy had many questions whirling through her mind. Dill said they were in Wyrdhaven but where the heck was that!? And what in the bangles was a marama!?

When they got back, Dylan took her to his room, she was curious to finally see it but at that moment all she wanted was to know the answers to all her questions.

Once Naddy and Dill were comfortably sitting on his bed and the bean bag in the corner, Dill told her to wait until he had finished talking before asking questions.

Dill began, "As l told you earlier, you are currently in Wyrdhaven.
How did you get here?
The old temple l took you to, if you pick up one of the bricks, tap the brick under it and say
'Wyrdhaven, Wyrdhaven, Wyrdhaven. Quotidian no more.' then put the brick back, you will be teleported to the street in Wyrdhaven. To get back to Aldcrest you simply have to say aloud anywhere
'Aldcrest, Aldcrest, Aldcrest. Take me back' then clap.
You should also know that all people actually have magical powers but a lot of people forget about them as they grow up. The people that forget are called quotidians and all the people in Wyrdhaven never forgot and still use their powers. There are four main groups of powers and within them are more groups, there are the royals which lead us, there are 5 royal families, Gildea, Roseheart, Alannic, Lyetton and Marriet although there is no one left of the family Gildea. After two people from the same family have ruled, there is a vote to find which family will rule next. The royals have the power to shape shift and basic healing but when they shape-shift their eyes stay the same. There are the elementals which are separated into four groups, water, fire, earth and air, the elementals keep to themselves in each of their groups and water and fire absolutely hate each other. There are the healers which are separated into two categories: the curadors and the vaidyas. The vaidyas can heal more than the curadors can but they're not as common. Last but not least there are the psychics, there's the empaths who can feel others emotions, the telepaths can read minds, psychometrists know information about the owner of an object simply by touching the object and the apportants can move, make, destroy and teleport objects. I myself am a psychometrist and an apportant. Uh...The Queen and King said earlier that they think you are a marama so you probably want to know what that is. Maramas are incredibly rare and incredibly powerful, there hasn't been one in centuries. They can become invisible by reflecting light, they can affect gravity although it drains their energy, they can control others emotions but when they do that it gives them the emotion they took away from the other person, on Mondays their emotions are magnified as Mondays are actually Moondays, they can form things out of moonlight that last for the night and when they do that the object is even more powerful than an apportant's and when they're in the moonlight their powers enhance, they become stronger, faster and have better endurance. That's definitely not all the things l have to explain but hopefully that should get you started,"

Naddy sat there speechless. What was she meant to say? It was a lot to take in.

"This is impossible,"

"No it's not Naddy. You turned invisible, we teleported from an abandoned temple to a street in seconds. You would've thought that impossible but it happened,"

"Yeah but can you really teleport, move and make objects with your mind?"

"And destroy. You see that bracelet around your wrist?"

"Yeah. What about it?"

Dill snapped his fingers and now it wasn't around her wrist, it was in his hands.

"It's not around your wrist anymore,"

"Ok so it's possible... Can you teleport people? Do they count as objects?"

"No Naddy people are not objects,"

The lights started flickering.

"Dill! You can control light too! Like Dumbledore?"

"No. I'm just flicking the light switch,"
He chuckled

Naddy laughed and playfully shoved him.

For awhile, neither of them said anything. Naddy was trying to work out how it could possibly be a prank and Dill was still shocked that Naddy, his best friend, was a marama. A marama! All his life he had wanted to meet one but he had never expected his best friend to be one.

Author's Note
Anyone know what kings would wear?

I couldn't think of anything so he's wearing a suit while his wife is wearing a beautiful gown.
