Naddy pushed open the old wooden door of the castle and followed the well-memorised route that she had taken almost everyday since the escort first led her to the training grounds. It took her through a long hall way and past many closed doors. She had yet to discover their contents.

As per usual, when she arrived at the training room Darry was already there waiting.

"Hey!"

"Naddy, today for theory you will learn about the rouges, it's time you learnt more about our history."

No pleasantries? That's a bit abrupt, what's wrong with him? She wondered

He lead her back through the castle and she tried to strike up conversation but he wouldn't say anything.

They walked through many corridors with wooden floors and old-fashioned lights on the walls before they stopped at a room taken up mostly by a large table in the middle, the table was filled with maps and books and even a few scrolls and there was a computer on a desk on the other side of the room. Around the table stood Queen Anastasia, Elle, and a boy around Darry's age with light blonde hair and an arm around Elle.

Darry walked straight up to the guy and did that weird handshake high-five thing guys do

"Ed! Mate, it's good to see you!"

So he gets whole bro-shake and I couldn't even get a 'hi'? Rude.

When they finished Ed looked over at Naddy, Darry took this as a signal,"Oh yeah, Ed this is Nadira better known as Naddy, Naddy this is Edward Marriet, Elle's boyfriend and an old friend of mine."

"Pleasure to meet you Naddy,"

"You too Ed," Naddy replied before looking over at Elle who was smiling at her.

Now she's smiling at me? Seriously what is up with this family today

"Hello Anastasia," she said, looking over at the queen

"Please, honey, call me Stasia, I don't care for formalities,"

Naddy grinned, "Will do Stasia,"

"Thank you Naddy. Now, I will be with you guys for an hour and help where I can but after that I have to go,"

Naddy looked over at Darry, trying once more to catch his eye. He stubbornly refused to look at her. This was the most distant she had seen him and she desperately wanted to know its cause.

The Queen addressed her, catching Naddy off guard. She blinked a few times before her words caught.

"I'm sure someone has told you already about the rogues, and perhaps you've also heard of Princess Aricia and her husband, Ethan. They were the ones to bring down the rogues. In fact, up until a few months ago, we'd thought they'd been completely defeated, not to return. But we've now learned that Ubel, their leader, is alive. He sent a crypted message to the King and so we thought it best that you learn and train, as you could be the one to finally rid us of them.
